I was playing Cricket 2004 earlier, England v Western Australia, put Hoggard in as night-watchman in the first innings. I forgot to change the batting order for the second innings and it just so happened that Bell was out with about 10 minutes to go until lunch, and in should stride Hoggard as......(I think I've just invented a new cricketing term)......lunch-watchman.

When I played the Cricket 2005 demo I had one instance where the I was bowling, that batsman tickled it off his legs down to fine leg...and the bowler fielded it!

Yes, some of the bugs can be quite amusing, like the one where a fielder comes and fields on the pitch, then lies down when the bowl is bowled.

yes there is another online free game and it is free to download as well but it is not as good as stickcricket but the movement of the player is better then stickcricket and the sound also.

I heard Ricky Ponting cricket is 2 times better than the EA version

Anyway it is disappointing that Ricky Ponting cricket does not have proper statistics, although you can play your own custom team and create your own player

Here's some links on the game:

Bowling, I can't quite remember, I never used to bother much. If I remember, it's A, S, D or W (maybe Z too) to select type of delivery, then the arrow keys to select seam position/spin. You have to press the button you pressed at the start of the bowl (i.e S, then S) otherwise it'll be a no-ball.

You could also refer to your manual.

I knew someone who had done all the scenarios, so it's not completely impossible.

Try this game. You have to win the match for England.

BLIC is, in my view the best cricket game out there although I haven't yet played International Cricket captain to be honest. I know you've got it JP, whats it like?

I've got ICC 2001, and it's pretty good. Very addictive, a few bugs but overall I'd give it 4/5.

I haven't played the most recent version (2005) but I have an updated database for 2001 which works very well.

Good game - combines timing, placement and running. I just hit 150 odd, but the game won't let me log in for some reason.

Only thing, it's a bit slow moving - I don't particularly want to see a crap animation of a square drive at the start of each over!
