brian lara is way too easy, everyone knows that thats why cricket 2005 is probably just better, but it all feels lightly controlled and slow.

well in cricket2005 it is easy to score runs but not by playin orthodox shots. i usually go for slog sweep and i get 4's or 6's in the legside area. but this shot is diff. if there r 3 men patrolling the leg boundary

There seems to be a fair few cricket games coming out soon. Marcus Trescothick has a management game a new ICC cmoing out. I'm sure I've heard about Brian lara being released and also a new Cricket 2006 game from EA.

Also there is a great looking game being created from a member of another cricket forum that looks brilliant.

The Trescothick game is the retail version of Cricket Coach which has received disastrous reports so far.

Also given that the makers of ICC 2005 lied continually about the patch they were supposed to release to fix some fairly big errors, I wouldn't touch the new version with a barge pole since all it will be is the 2005 game with a data update, and they have the cheek to expect us to buy it again!

Clobber - having just read the press release of the new ICC game, I have to say it looks as though there has been major developments. I don't think it is just a data update of 2005.

If you mean about the ICC 2006 go to www.planetcricket.net sorry if I'm not allowed to post a link, but that's where I read it.

The only difference I can see if the addition of Powerplays, wow!

Given how little they managed to add to the game from 2001 to 2005 that is no surprise anyway. And even if it was hugely updated and overhauled I still wouldn't toch it given how shabbily they treated customers of 2005.
