Shivranine Chanderpaul for his 149* against India, that was the best I've seen him bat and I'm a HUGE fan of his.

Watson deserved it, hes done that thousands of times for Scotland.

Mcmillans 89, highest score of the odi tri series tournament, the kiwis were in trouble against an awesome bowling attack, gave the kiwis a shout with winning the game to.

I think 'Player of the Week' this week should be Jacob Oram, two career best performances in a row, including his first ODI century today.

Interesting - we've gone for someone completely different!

How about Ganguly for a fantastic comeback after 16 months .I mean he was under real pressure .

I thought Kallis' 50 to win the series for South Africa, but I didn't really see any of the one-dayers so I can't comment on those

 Oram is seeing it big just now - I expect every New Zealander is hoping this form lasts another 3 months or so!

Never mind, we won yesterday.  Poor England - very sad to see the change from 05 to 07.  No spine, no spirit and no winning...

That's shocking. Kallis played one of the best innings of his life for practically a whole day and Oram ripped England apart.

What about him ripping australia appart? :p

So a player's performance can be ultimately judged on the performances of his team mates? I thought a batsman was a better player if he was the stand out talent in a team of amateurs, even if they lose the match anyway. Surely the result is irrelevant and it is the performance itself that should earn the award?
