Topic: Cricket World Prediction League Posted: 23 November 2006 at 6:18pm |

Do you think you know what is going to happen in the world of cricket?
Think you can accurately forecast results of upcoming games?
If so, or even if you just want to have a bit of fun, then join the Cricketworld.com Prediction League Competition.
What’s more, there will be prizes on offer for those people who excel!
Prizes will include books, DVDs, and merchandise.
How to play:
Simply PM me your email address, and at the start of each week, a list of upcoming international matches will be sent to you. All you have to do is to return the email with your tips for the selected matches (or as many as you wish to make.) Simply decide which team you think will win the match, or if you think the match will be a draw.
Prizes will be given out to those who are in the lead at the end of each month, series or season where applicable. For example, there will be prizes for the best tipping throughout the World Cup, for example, as well as the monthly and yearly prizes.
The scoring system is also quite simple – your tips will be converted into a percentage so that you don’t necessarily get any advantage from randomly tipping in every match. There will, however, be a weekly minimum of tips to make; this will be made clear in the emails sent out to you.
To join, simply PM me with an email address, and then wait for the next set of games to tip to arrive.
Good luck!

I've got 5 on my spreadsheet, but I'm hoping for interest to pick up. Anyway, less people in it means you've got more chance of winning.

Because only 3 players submitted tips - I've had people register an email address, then not predict anything.
With the result of the England game, the scores are as follows:
crownmethod - 7/12 = 58%
MP12 - 6/17 = 35%
Mahrukh - 2/10 = 20%
dhoniisbest, dipsdecember, robbie, and a couple of others have joined up but as yet haven't submitted any predictions.

Not necessarily, as it's done on percentages and there is always a minimum amount of games to tip. It's about selecting which games to tip as well as the tips themselves.

Into the third week of predictions,
and I think it’s time for a prize – whoever is at the top when all of this
week’s matches are completed will win a cricketing prize – a DVD, book or game
of your choice.
So, best get predicting
then.
The matches to tip this week are as
follows:
Wednesday: Pakistan v West Indies
(ODI)
Thursday:
Australia v England
(Test)
Friday:
New Zealand v Sri
Lanka (Test)
South Africa v India
(Test)
Saturday: Pakistan v West Indies
(ODI)
5 games, so a minimum of 3
predictions.
Leaderboard
Clobber 3/3 =
100%
Crownmethod 8/11 =
72%
Matthew Fong 9/16 =
56%
Dips_december 2/4 =
50%
Munira 3/9 =
33%
Dhoniiisbest 0/3 =
0%
No games until Wednesday, so plenty
of time to weigh things up before making your
predictions.
PM / email - you know the drill.

Me too MM !! I had a lucid dream and saw Harmison being
chaired off the field after devastating the Aussies 2nd time
around. Ponting was sobbing , Warne hobbling and McGrath getting
CPR!
The scorecard was alittle blurry , but my recollection was we only batted once !

Haha, I'll be gobsmacked if that doesn't happen in the next test now Sledge!! I can just see it now. The only part of the scorecard I can picture in my head is Australia's two innings: England wides: NONE.
But let's not get delusional now.
