I like this. It's worth the read even though I am not participating.

I've just fixed up nos 1 & 2 bats, so I'd better be in.
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

Matthew Hayden
Ricky Ponting         Captain
Michael Clarke
Mike Hussey
Andrew Symonds
Adam Gilchrist       Vice Captain + Wicketkeeper
Brett Lee
Brad Hogg
Shaun Tait
Nathan Bracken

"this is the first test for the new era australians, without warne mcgrath martyn and langer, and it will be interesting to see how they get on"

"replacing warne is hogg, who is favoured instead of MacGill, likely die to his world cup proformances, Bracken is in for McGrath at the expence of Clarke, and Tait is also in the team"

"as for CWXI WG and robbie open the batting for the first time, and 3 spinners fielded (strangly)"

Can someone help me fasten these buckles down the inside of my trusty pads, I'm afraid that these days the good eating and drinking make it difficult to perform the task unaided.

Maybe you need to do the little Jayasuriya ritual to make sure your pads are in place after each delivery.  Oh and dont let the beard get in the way of that hook for 6 off Tait.

we pick play up in the first over 6 good balls give Kerm his first maiden in test cricket!

this is then followed by Robbie who manages to go for 10 off his first over!

contrasting starts for CWXI here!

so 10 overs have gone

australia are 50/0

Jaques is on 12
Hayden is on 37

a good start for kerm who has bowled 5 overs for just 12 runs, not such a good start for robbie who conseded 23 runs off his 4 overs

Pietersen Fan then came into the attack and got hit for 3 staight 4s off his first 3 balls, these were then followed by a few singles, giving him an economy rate of 14 after his first over

yeh very well bowled MP12 especially considering you are batting at number 4 in the 1st batting innings.

i thought it might be a good idea to have a sort of "press-conference" where by the eam as a whole or an individual member answers questions about how theve done, and the hopes for the next innings or game...

any views on this?
