The tie-breaker is the top run-scorer for the whole series - Ponting already has 256, so you might want to change your guess.

Nah, I reckon he's onto a winner there!

Right, Adelaide update, for those of you not on the email list:

As England collapsed from a position of strength to a position of 2-0 down in the series, it was the turn of those players who had picked Collingwood, Ponting and Gilchrist who racked up the points this week. Hoggard was also a major scorer, but this week’s winner is Zuhair Abbasi, with his team of Ponting, Collingwood, Gilchrist, Warne and Anderson, which netted him 155 points for the Test.

Our overall leaders are still Noel William and Sameer Natu, although Zuhair has closed the gap on them and there are a number of others in close contention as we head off to Perth.

LEADERBOARD:

Noel William, Sameer Natu 261, Zuhair Abbasi 256, Clobber 243, Matthew William, Myles Cordeux 235, Alex Denby 234, Stefano Quaino, Charlie MacKenzie 233, Tom Ross, Vivienne Hatzi 211, Oscar Koronka, Ben Knight 200, Haydn (the bird) 199, Scott Page, Nick Crownmethod, Titan 194, Kevin Lee 193, Kelvin Carter 192, Chris Benoy 191, Layne Bartram-Hatzi, Aman Lalli 182, Sufian Bashir 176, dhoniisbest 152, Steve Foster 148, slogger 72/NO, Robbie 146, Sledger 141, Samiur Rehman Jamil 133, Jeremy Bartram 120, Haris Daud 112

And the player's scores:

Section A: Langer 50, Hayden 23, Ponting 111, Martyn 10, Strauss 19, Pietersen 67, Bell 31

Section B: Collingwood 91, Cook 17, Clarke 50, Hussey 63

Section C: Flintoff 35, Jones 27, Gilchrist 40

Section D: Harmison 2, Hoggard 25, Giles 8, McGrath 20, Lee 12, Warne 24

Section E: Anderson 4, Clark 22

The next Test, at Perth starts on December 14th, so the deadline will be the start of play on December 14th.

As usual, one change is allowed per team. Congratulations to Zuhair, whose copy of EA Sports’ Cricket 07 will be in the post shortly, and remember, three tests still to go equals three more chances to win, as well as plenty of time to win the overall competition.

Best of luck, and well played.

Had loyalty led you to pick an all English selection perchance?

I've heard some people submitted teams with more than 3 Aussies in for the first test and perhaps even the second test. Have all the teams been checked to make sure only 3 players from each team are selected? Because from what i hear people are purposely bending the rules to suit their points total.

No-one has more than 3 players from one team. I did receive some entries like that, but they weren't accepted.

I assure you no-one is bending any rules.

Adam Voges is going to be placed in Section B, for those who wish to make any changes.

Anyone with Damien Martyn in their team may make a free transfer.

Thanks, Bird

OK, thanks for the reassurance - it's just someone told me they put 4 Aussies in their side and received points for it.

I wasn't actually told anything about you Clobs! Is there something you'd like to share with us all? Tongue

not particularly....although it does appear that me cheering all of Stuart Clark's wickets in the last Test was in vain

That distresses me Clobs - the last Aussie I cheered was Scobie Breasley at Chester in 1968 - the horse won at 6-1 !!

Yeah I cheered when Hussey got dropped in this test, and I'm cheering for Gilchrist right now.
