  2% alcohol content isn't worth opening the gullet for! 
    No alcohol allowed through the gates in SA either , but at least we can buy the real stuff when inside.  Newlands is rather anal though - no spirits on sale , but that doesn't bother me as the last time I had a nippy-sweetie was around the time of Prince Charles' 21st !!

Maybe 2% was a hyperbole, but it certainly isn't strong enough to affect someone of my stature.

I dont see anything wrong in a bit of atmosphere, much better than 20,000 people reading newspapers and going to sleep. Of course theres a line not to be crossed i.e. throwing missiles, racism, nudity etc. but a bit of banter and liveliness is good for the game imo.

I really do understand the excitement of the players, even if it was mistimed, it's unfortunate that this has distracted attention from the behaviour of a minority of the crowd. I also do not feel that this is a
'US' thing, bad behaviour happens everywhere. I blame the media for hyping thing out of proportion, it was only a golf tournament after all, not world war 3.
