Topic: CW Forum Awards 2006 Posted: 26 January 2006 at 12:45am |
With the forums being online for well over a year now, a few of us have come up with the idea of an awards 'ceremony' for the members - well done Vic and Saad. Anyway, I'm sure you've all taken part in these on other forums so I won't go on and on about how it works as it's so very simple.
Here are the categories to vote for:
- Most passionate member
- Funniest member
- Best quote
- Most dedicated member
- Most helpful member
- Most improved member
- CW Member of the Year 05/06 (this you could nominate a 1st, 2nd, 3rd)
To vote, simply PM saadadvanced7, or myself if that's too much trouble. You cannot vote for yourself, and you're not obliged to vote in every category - even if you just vote in one or two, that's good.
Saad himself will be hosting the awards at the start of February.

Don't worry, you don't have to vote for every category, remember. It's just if you remember someone saying something funny/silly.

that is obvious mate. If there are no results, what this competition would meant for? I wonder if there are enough entries or votes to make it really a competition.

Just a thought Saad, when you decide when you are going to 'host' the awards, let us know and put a time on it so that people know when it's happening. That way if you announce one award say, every 5 minutes, there can be a bit of 'reaction' and interaction between members.

You know JP, I was just thinking I should do something like that and I was about to mention it here, but it seems you came up with the idea before me.
Please join us tomorrow (February 1st) at 10:00 am (UK time) for the first annual CW Awards.
For all the Canadians, you can join us live at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. For more information about tickets, call us toll free at 1-800-333-4444 or go to our website: aircanada.ca
Remember, hurry and get your votes in before its too late. PM saadadvanced7 or -JP-.

Pity I won't be around then as I have a class, but if it's stretched out long enough I might be around for the final awards. Make it a good'un Saad.

Saad, I give you permission to make a new thread for the actual awards as I'll delete this one when all is done.
