The trouble with Cricket 07 is that thiers so many patchs. It's To easy to slog. Thiers also patchs with the bowling, too easy to get wickets. The gameplay gets very boring and the fieldings unrealistic.
Definetly room for inpovement.

I also have a question relating to cricket 07 on playstation 2.
I created and saved players, that was no problem.
The problem arose when I finished a domestic season.
I found my accumulated stats wouldn't carry over to my rostered players.
Is anyone familiar with this?
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I'v got EA sports cricket 07 on PS2. I think the battings good, It couldn't be much better, But the bowlings absolutly pathptic, EA sports took no care what so ever in that, I meam the batsmen arn't suppose to score a 1 run per over and be all bowled out for something stupid like 50 runs in a test.

I haven't got the game, but is that possible a fault that is in all EA cricket games? In 2002, all you have to do is bowl yorkers and you get wickets too.

I have to agree with those saying Cricket 07 is a lot of rubbish though I pla it every day. I only lost matches in the 1st few days while I was learning and after that I have since post impossible totals. My highest scro is 1430 for South Africa v New Zealan with AB Deviliers scoring 400+ and Kallis scoring 350. It is just all imposible.

Even worse I can bowl a team out if I want for 12, I just bring fine leg in the circle and with right handers come aroun the wickets to right hander, bowl it next to the boot (spike). He will either glance it to short fine leg who will take n impossible catch or try and hoyk to cow and get bowled.

And as for test, I place a defensive fild with a squer-leg and a deep squer-leg. I bowl it shor, they always pull it to those two fielder's hands.

It is all two easy, bowl a beutiful length outside off stump and listen to the commentator's comments. "Oh what a lovely yoker, the bats man was taken by supriseby that" or this one is even more worse, Brett Lee bowling and a bats man plays and misses " fine spin bowling, give the ball some air with gail in it" horrible stuff.

Oh mine is South African released by the way, for PC. Maybe it can be a bit interesting if they add good commentry to it. Though I understand that unlike soccer, it must have been a bit difficult with regard to cricket

I tryed a 5 over match today, on five stars. It wasn't inpossibe to slog. I managed to chase down a total of 68 and win. (remember this was a five over match on 5 stars)
I once tryed a test, On five stars, I bowled first and had the oppisition 3/12, after 10 overs, I than gave up and realized it wasn't realy any harder, Than 4 stars. Edited by Colly92 - 03 July 2008 at 12:52pm |

It's not so much bowl the yorker and the batsmens unrealisticly introuble, I think the problem is that you have too much controll over where the ball lands. I don't know, I suppose making the blue circle bigger may fix that problem or something. |

Well, I pose more than a 100 in five overs with five stars. Its all rediculoous. You cant hit a yoker on middle stump for six over extra cover can you, but come EA Cricket 2007, u hit it out of the park.

Oh well, I guess we can't conplain, can we. I mean I don't think that there any other cricket games out there that are much better this.
Iv'e played a fifa soccer game made by EA sports, And the commentry on that is very lively, Alot more lively than this cricket 07 game and that fifa game I think was only 04 or something like that not 07! I think EA sports just thought that because cricket isn't a fast flowing game like soccer they chose to put boring commentry on it.

True dat mate. The commentary is absolutely pathetic, have u seen how umpires call those shocking wides? And it is always same umpires, the commentry box doesnt change either. Even if it is Scotland touring Zimbabwe. I think they should really improve it man, they now have something to work on, I agree cricket is a very technical game, but that is a whole lot of rubbish.

I have another question relating to the game. Sometimes when I'm batting I loose control of the controls and the batsmen automatically defends every ball, It's so frustraiting. Is anyone else familiar with this? How can I stop it?

Well.. Overall I think the games just a whole lot of garbage. Despite the main conplaints of the bowling and commentry, The game also has many other problems like the glitches in the graphics, The shocking looking crowd graphics And another big problem is that the players are all half dead, The way they move and slide quickly and also when the bowler takes a wicket it's always the same celebration no matter what the state of the game. Sloppy careless work. Edited by Colly92 - 22 June 2008 at 12:11pm |

The batting depends on the type of pitch, Alot of the time. If your playing on a dry pitch, Almost Every ball you hit will go on the ground and roll to the boundary, In attacking fields, No problem. If you play on a wet pitch, The battings more challanging. You have to try to keep as many wickets in hand as possible, Otherwise you will loose too many wicket earlier on, And it will cost on this sort of a pitch. You will also find that on a wet pitch it's almost inpossible to hit boundarys without slogging.Edited by Colly92 - 30 June 2008 at 12:46pm |

The game is ok when it come to the wide array of game modes though. The domestic seasons that they have is acually quiet well done. I also agree with the Australia A team that they have and all the other speciel teams they have as well. Those are the good things about the game. It just is a bit confusing, considering the fact that the names are mixed up, On some teams.
Dose anyone who if theirs any possible way I could change the names, for all the teams like Pakastan, India ect, To the right spelling, Without going through the trouble to change them all, on the sqaud mangent menu? (I don't always know who the player realy is, so thats why I need the name changer)
I'v got it on PS2. Edited by Colly92 - 06 July 2008 at 12:02pm |

I haven't actually got the game but I played it once and I found it annoying when they said "he surprised the batsman with that Yorker" when it was on a good length.

Hey, I thought you'd also be interested to hear this lads. I don't know if this is stange or not, But once I was being South Africa, playing the Northern Districts,(a domestic NZ team) In an ODI, On five stars, I bowled first, And bowled the whole team out for 15 runs! I also want to know why the gameplay in tests seem to be more exiting than the gameplay in ODIs.

I reckon hey JOF,(JacobOramfan) EA Sports must have thought that England and Australia are the most important international teams.
