What is the best cricket ground in the world?

Looking at pitch, stadium and ground size

---

Plz ignore choice 10 (small mistake), not an actual cricket ground, unless you reference it with Tasmania

Unbelievable , South Africa doesn't feature and many players say that Newlands is the most stunning ground on the planet.

Watch tomorrow and see if I'm right.

On that list I've only been to Lords. All being well I should be visiting those at Melbourne and Sydney in 2010 (talk about long term planning)

i dont care about the massive australian grounds, they lack spirit and tradition, australian cricket has been turned in rock concerts no offence aus(good players though), the best ground is old father time, the home of cricket, LORDS, may not be the biggest ground in the world but it is certainly the best.

Well....I don't know what is the best ground but my favourite ground is the Antigua Recreational Ground because that was the ground that Lara broke his 400 not out record on as well as the 375 record on the same ground.

The Sydney Cricket ground is good too....as well as the one in Adelaide...(if that is how to spell it).

Stop 2008!!!!!!!!!! Don't come just yet!

The only thing traditional at Lord's is the pavilion, and it is flanked by an architectural monstrosity in that block of flats. The rest of the stands are of a weird, disjointed design, and the new futuristic media centre sticks out like a sore thumb. I honestly can't think of an uglier ground anywhere in the world.

the best is lords cricket ground. Look at the grass of the outfield, it also have a wonderful pitch and the stadium isn't too bad. eden gardens is very good as well as Johannesburg, mcg is huge and beautiful on tv, i don't know if channel nine makes it look prettier, but the outfield looks outstanding.

sorry about that last choice I was supposed to type that in the a friend on MSN afterseeing a tram with wings on the Commonwealth Games openning ceromony

Sorry about South Africa but I did some research and I only listed the grounds which have held the most tests

The MCG is changing all the time these days because of the Commonwealth Games, I don't see the point because if you sit up in the top stand in a ground that big you can't see a thing

The tram was supposed to be Melbourne's local transport system, us Aussies thought it was stupid aswell because they don't run on time and are packed with people.

You all would have got a good look at the MCG that night, what did you think. Many millions $$$ went into that

There's never anything worth watching apart from sport on the BBC anyway. (With a couple of exceptions.)

well the stadium's infrastructure was lookin excellent but it won't match the crowd of india or pakistan in near future. the people in india and pakistan r mad abt cricket and they can do anything to buy the tickets. the stadium in abu-dhabi was empty in some parts whereas in india-pakistan u can't get any emty stadiums in the odi's.

and pls why r u leaving so much space after your message
