Another Twenty20 win, which means I'm unbeaten in senior competition so far. Didn't realise I was opening the bowling with my spinner, else we'd have won by more than 29 runs.

it's Censored compared to bt, but it's something else to do, and they may improve it soon.

I'll stick with Battrick, from what I've heard this doesn't look the same, although if I have any spare time I'll check it out first hand.

It's worth checking out the structure, ect and I quite like the idea of having two squads, but it's harder to compete with an existing brand when the initial one is quite brilliant!

It's quite exciting being the first people to begin playing it though , not having to catch up to everyone else, unlike battrick.
Good one Graham!

Just checked out how my team was doing and we actually won a few games, I'm starting to like this game a bit more, one of my batsmen just got a 100 as well Big%20smile

I definitely like not having to catch up with people on this it's annoying on bt when you lose to a guy just becasue he got his team in season 1 and you didn't

One of my opposition bowlers also bowled 10-0-126-0, you just don't get that quality entertainment on bt

How many people are still playing this?
The game has massively improved as the season's gone on and will be even better at the start of next season with the introduction of player talents and skill checks on fielding/keeping when it comes to catches etc. so there will be missed chances now.

How did everyone do this season?
I managed to claim (steal%20%20%20) first in my Youth OD league today and should manage to claim first in my Senior OD league on Friday.
I'm currently 4 points clear in my OD league and play 3rd place knowing that a win will crown me champions and put me amongst the first human players in division 2.
Unfortunately I finished 5th in my T20 league. I'll just have to do the business next season in that league.

I'm also top in the super sixes in the FTP Sunday Cup (friendly competition, if you could call it friendly%20%20%20), arranged on the games forum. I'm unbeaten in the tournament and need just 1 win from 2 matches to book my place in the final of it and play the only other unbeaten team in the tournament.

Promotion achieved pretty easily in the one-day and twenty20 leagues, despite a squad of just 14. Bought one player in over the season.

Paid little or no attention to the youth side and they finished third.

Managed to upgrade my academy so it's now reasonable and all the fans are jovial.

Hi, thought it might be time to resurrect this thread as it is now a rather succesful site and me and Tyke play regulary. http://69.64.65.172/login.html
is the link, so lets see if this can get popular , me and Tyke have a friendly on the 1st by the way, I thought he must be amazing when I saw hes best in South Africa, then I saw there were 43 teams , still, well done Tyke, I think I may be moving to SA next season...

I'm ranked 64th in the world Monty for Senior One Day, 121st for T20 and 52nd in the world with my Youth team.
I'm in the top tier for SOD and YOD and in the 2nd tier for T20.
I'm also in with a very good chance of becoming South Africa's Senior National Manager.
With the way things are going, I could be looking at an unbeaten Domestic season in 3 competitions, 2 of which would be in the top tier.

I'm good on more levels than that but that's a few to begin with. I could give a few more examples if needed.

I definitely know one thing, something that most of the FTP players agree on. I hate Eggy . I think you may do as well.

You do know that you'll incur a supporters fee for switching at the end of this season??? If you'd have switched before the start of this season it was free. Now a club gets charged for doing it.

And aren't you running for England's Senior National Manager???

If you choose to move your team to SA then I'm sure we'll all give you a nice warm welcome to the South African leagues. We do have a lot of hidden talent and good teams, which is why we do well in the PCC on the forums.

Unfortunately I can't. I've already voted in my country and it's an important vote. Never guess who for .

The England job will be between Beecee and o1yted because Beecee has the block vote from his mates, and o1yted is a great manager. I hope that o1yted gets it because he's the better manager and deserves to be it.

Good Luck in our match tomorrow Monty. The match starts 9 A.M our time, 08:00 FTP Time so I'll be at work by then Cry.
Should be a good match but a home win seems likely for me.

I'm playing 3 spinners (as usual) but I was considering using 3 or even 4 seamers on my Hard Pitch, but feel my spinners have done a good enough job for me throughout my SOD management career that they deserve the spots.
We may play another the week after with my 4 seamers in, (all reas/reas or better) weather depending.

My team to play you this Sunday is:

Harry Jeffery
Greg Baker
AB de Villiers (Wk)
Jonty Rhodes
Ryan Mann
Nathan Bull (The only foreign player in my XI, he's English)
Shaun Pollock (Captain) (LM, only thing that makes him different from the real Polly)
Andrew Spry (Offy WITH Doosra)
Craig Sleep (RM)
John Tabart (Leg Spinner)
Bill Annetts (Leg Spinner)

I love the ability to rename our players. I have some great RL players in my squad and most are young (unlike some of their real life counterparts).
de Villiers is 19
Pollock is 22
Rhodes is 26

I work in a food shop in the White Rose Centre now, which means I work Sunday's and Bank Holidays (which sucks).

And Jonty is one of my cricketing hero's. Good aggressive batsman and a magnificent fielder, much like de Villiers is at times now. I mean RL on not on the game, although both are good on the game as well .

A full strength team for me, no offence Tyke but I dont know why you have spent money on renaming players...
Anyway to my team:

Peta Knowles, 32, 26,772

Antardhana Bhagwat, 28, 25,698 (BOWLER)

Frances Alexander, 30, WK, 28,093 (up for sale)

Oswald Bawden, 30, 23,888

Frank Carlson, 23, 27,010

Ross Cowley, 28, 26,162

Robert Hussey, 19, 26,683 (BOWLER)

Michael Bakes, 32, 27,965 (BOWLER)

Darrel Trebilcock, 30, 24,834 (BOWLER)

Frank Davies, 25, 24,362 (BOWLER)

Colin Hergeden, 27, 27,460 (BOWLER)

as you can see my squad is very old, but I have loads of youth ready to come through, and in two to three seasons, a younger, fitter, better squad shall be staring you in the face Tyke, mwah ha haaaa ;)

My Youth team is one of my strongest aspects with many in line for Youth Nat team call ups (2 for Ireland, 1 for Bermuda and 6 for South Africa not including 19 year olds).

I spent money to rename players because:

1. It was fun to do.
2. It helps the game develop (bigger server etc.)
3. I felt like it.Smile

Better captain and batsman in one player at the Youth Level??? He is my YOD captain and averages 53.62 batting at 3 with a +100 career strike rate.

Your youths have some work to do in some aspects but you look to be on track.

McPetrie needs quite a bit of bowling and technique training. If he has some good talents it may help.
Does he have any beneficial triggered talents such as the Doosra or Arm Ball???
Or any talents like [Gifted] Bowling or [Skilled] Bowling???
