What's going on with Agarkar? Has he been out of the team for a while or is it that I'm not keeping up with Indian cricket? I think he is a very good bowler who has a lot of talent. I think it was during a series with the windies that he really impressed me. Then again you know the windies brings out the best in anyone....but I truly think that he is a good bowler...(nevermind the opposition). Wink

He hasn’t been out of the team. He is very much with the team and playing and taking all those wickets. He does take wickets but doesn’t deserve those. He is a pretty ordinary bowler for my likings. Sprays the ball a lot and in t20 you don’t need one bowler like him. Although, Pakistan would never mind him playing. He has always been the target of Paki batters.

ok well then maybe the windies did bring out the best in him if he really is not that good.

India has only played one 20/20 (don't know about Pakistan). They played it in SA and won it too. So there is confidence there but one game is not enough especially when the top 3 batsmen aren't there. The team is also depending upon the batting of Sehwag and Pathan and Harbhajan's performce. If Sehwag gets out early a lot will fall on the shoulders of Yuvraj and Dhoni. Karthik too. All three of them are good but on of the trio should have been included. Dravid would have been good seeing that he's been speeding up ever since the world cup.

Dravid has class mate. I don't know why people thought he couldn't score quickly. It's just that it really isn't necessary at times! If he use to do it, that team would have been in shambles because he could have lost his wicket trying to score fast.

That was never Dravids role within the batting lineup. His role was (and still is) to steady the ship after a wicket and then build partnerships. The others score(d) quickly around him so he never needed to.

Just because he didn't need to, it doesn't mean that he can't.

Its no use trying to talk sense into someone who still thinks Dravid cant score quickly.

Also he is the team  Captain and one of his goal when batting is to make sure the team gets a good enough score and if everyone swings their bat like a fool, just can't see India batting out many overs and many thanks must be given to Dravid.

Dravid is pure class fellas! Solid, can score fast, what else do you want from the man? One of the best batsman I've seen. The 4th to be precise!

I bet if either of us put a bet on Scotland to win their groups we'd be absolutely loaded if it happened!     But it won't...... alas.

Yep Robbie, I was talking about the players and not the fans! But Fishy summed it up.

More sad times for Pakistan cricketers as Asif and Akhtar had a firey bust out in training with Akharar hitting asif with a bat. Oh dear, oh dear, can someone please tell Akhtar that a cricket is only used to hit the cricket ball and not Human.
Shame and disgrace to the human race in my book.
Have mercy on Pakistan cricketers soul.

I read an article the other day about Asif talking about his bowling and I gathered from that that he didn't like Akhtar. I am proven right! Not good news for PAK.

And that is why, Zuhair, we cant just talk about bowling when it comes to Akhtar.  It just seems like the guy doesnt want to be remembered for what he did on the field.

I seriously don'y know who Akthar thinks he is, some super-icon who can do anything and get away with it. It's about time he lives up to the statement "you learn from your mistakes" he just keeps repeating them

Sensational news just released - Shoaib has been sent home after a dressingroom dust-up with Asif.  Apparently Asif has bruising to his left thigh , but will be fit to play in their first match.
It's another blot in the career of Shoaib , who was on probation after leaving a training camp without permission.
No statement as yet from Shoaib , but the question must be asked , is this the end of his international career?

the bloke is a nightmare and the game is better off without him.

Although I am sure zuhair will be along any minute to insist that Shoaib in no way has any sort of attitude problem.
