I have been on this forum for some time now and I have realised that guests can make polls.

I don't know how come they are allowed but they really make some stupid topic that has nothing to do with cricket.

I say disable that function if it is possible cause if they want to talk bout cricket, they will sign up like we all do.

-JP- is the one who can do that so I hope he sees it some how or the other.

I have no idea how that happens but obviously Sledge and I delete the stupid stuff as soon as we see it

I agree, I also saw advertising on this website which I was appalled at. Is there any way we can stop this?

We should be given the power to delete advertisements.

I don't like it too. People are making fun of the forum, but since it is very less compared to what you'd expect, I think we can leave it as the mods will delete it the following day.

It's deleted as soon as it gets spotted and the person is banned

I think they might have limit of posts they can make. I might be wrong on this.

I haven't seen much of guests lately. We should ask them.

That thread was made by a member who subsequently disappeared - the software defaults to "guests".

I do agree though , non-members shouldn't be able to post at all and certainly not create new threads. I'll drop a line to the administrators.

Just as a post-script, Sledger is dead right about the deleting of members leading to the impression that Guests are regularly posting, although I did spot a setting in the forum that was allowing Guests to post polls in one or two places.

This has now been rectified.
