  Corrupt ?  Look it up in the Oxford Dictionary and then give me an instance of corruption by the man.  I find it mystifying how anyone can side with the ICC after their appalling behaviour in this matter.

   Just a simple question on this whole sordid affair - Two umpires made the decision to change the ball after they deemed it had been tampered with. 6 weeks after the match was forfeited the ICC find Pakistan not guilty of ball tampering and the wheels were set in motion to rid the game of one umpire - why just the one ?

Yes, both of them should have been sacked. ICC's fault to this extent.

Corrupt..... Asking for bribe isn't corruption in your dictionary?????

Thats laughable GC, as usual pakistan fans seem to be going with an emotive, biased view, rather than sticking to the facts. Facts are he has done nothing wrong, he is not there to mollicoddle players or protect their oversensative ego's,  he is there to uphold the rules as, rules wich pakistan time and time again try and break, this whole issue is a joke.
Monkey see, Monkey do.

Yes he sticked to the rules by blaming the side with ball-tempering without having any proof. Just ironic.

Then he again sticked to the rules by asking ICC to pay him  millions so that they can get rid of him.

Yes, he's a man of principals and rules.

It shows how little you know about it GC, what proof does he need under the laws of cricket to act on ball tampering?

He was coerced into writing that letter, trying to help the ICC, he was then sold down the river.

 He had a conversation with Speed (that means both people were talking) , and Speed told him that the ICC wanted him out.  He said he'd go for 250,000 pounds - much like anyone seeking compensation when being asked to leave.
     There is nothing corrupt in that - what was sickening was Speed releasing a confidential email to the entire world concerning that meeting.  That shows the calibre of the ICC man - I've scraped material off the sole of my shoe with more integrity than that creature.

If the ball is degraded, it's not necessary that someone from fielding side scratched it.

If 26 cameras can't detect a ball tampering from a player, how could an umpire put such an infliction on an International side based on the assumptions only?????

I won't be putting any stuff on this thread anymore. This discussion will go on forever.

Yes bit hard to argue the indefencable isn't it.

He dosen't need any proof, it comes down to his opinion, like most things with an umpire, a cricketers job is to live by those decisions, not act like spoilt brats, hiding behind make believe gods dosen't make you rightious either.

That's why he's trying to do it again and again, and in the process, ends up with more and more rubbish.

GreenCap, making reference to him having "asked for a bribe" just shows that you really don't have the first clue about anything to do with this whole episode

Hair needs to prove a difficult point. He has to show that ICC discrimiinates racially. So he has to prove that all fair skinned umpires were treated differently. Tough task I think! But he may salvage his pride on unfair dismissal (I am not sure wheter he is expelled from the elite panel or whether he is only getting 1st class matches to be officiated)

  The explanation of why he failed to board a plane to London just stinks. "It's too complicated to divulge"   Absolute tripe!!   If Hair thought he'd been sold down the river before , this will more than strengthen that belief.

    Simply put , the ICC are not just a bloated and failing body , but a corrupt one too.

Now he (Hair) claims that Rudi Koertzen has called Pakistanis as cheats. This is turning ugly. Better to get rid of this contreversial charachter once and for all even if it costs ICC dearly.

At this moment of time I like to believe that Rudi Koetzen is innocent. If he had said some thing like that, god bless cricket!

I read a couple of excellent articles today on this trial, after Hair's crew had a far better day on Friday.

Michael Atherton summed up a lot of our feelings;

But on Friday it was the turn of three of the ICC directors – Sir John Anderson (New Zealand), Inderjit Singh Bindra (India) and Ray Mali (then the South African director, now the president) – to face cross-examination by Hair's lawyer, Robert Griffiths QC. ...........

One by one these well-meaning, certainly not racist but undoubtedly bumbling and, on this evidence, incompetent administrators shuffled to the front of the room, raised their right hands and promised to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth

Malcolm Speed alone came out of it a little better on the basis that his recommendations as to how best deal with Hair (keep him on the panel but don't give him much to do) had been ignored by these three.

And how about this for another revelation in The Times;

Shaun Pollock, of South Africa, inset, was fined his match fee after a one-dayer against Pakistan for asking Hair to ‘keep an eye on Shoaib Malik scratching the ball’. Officially, Pollock’s punishment was described as ‘dissent when an appeal was turned down’. Malik is now Pakistan captain

Atherton's view - probably accurate - is that Hair has perhaps erred in pursuing his claim on racial grounds instead of constructive dismissal.

 Talk about not upsetting the applecart Clobs - any suspicious actions by Pakistanis must be covered up in any way possible !  Tis a pity that there's no appeals court for Pollock to turn to , it would've been interesting.

I think it will be much better for Hair to hire someone from this forum as his lawyer to get a favorable decision rather than making silly actions again and again

if you understood anything about the legal system you might realise that lawyers don't make the decisions in court

Well.....Bondy can have a say at it.

A person with great potential and no presentation skills usually suffers to get to the highest levels.

A strong lawyer can convince the judge to make a favorable decision, and there are too many strong lawyers here%20%20%20
