I believe a recent survey showed that the average salary for a county player is circa £40,000.

England central contracts are awarded in 3 salary bands but are not made public.

Other than that, do your own bloody homework!

When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

Just think how much David Beckham will now get in a week in America. Way too much which obviously brings up the arguement are Cricketers underpaid compared to Footballers?

Robbie, make sure you put about Beckham's new salary and yearly pay, he gets something along the stupid lines of £50 a minute.
Italian cricket captain of the future!!

Here is some details on the earnings of the Test side pulled from the BBC.

- Central contract and county fees (£350,000+ for top players)
- Share of England image rights, memorabilia sales etc
- Test win bonus (£60,000 between squad)
- Series win bonus (£500,000 between squad)
- Sponsorship and endorsements

As you can see these guys make quite a good deal of money nowadays. Still nowhere near Footballers though.
