    Posted: 26 July 2006 at 10:12am

Can anyone tell me the highest 20-20 innings total ever posted in club/county/any cricket? I only ask as my club team posted a total of 276-2, with two hundreds, 113* and 111.

Possibility that this may be a record for either the innings total or that two batsman struck tons in a 20-20 innings.

Anyone any idea? No idea where to look.

Cheers

At club level I am certain there have been higher scores (I also know that Leicestershire made two hundred and ninety something in a 20 over benefit game against some local club side earlier in the season)

The Leicestershire one wouldve been a friendly though, i mean in competitive cricket.

I thought there might well have been higher scores, nevermind, it was just a thought.

Cheers anyway!!

I recently witnessed Cameron White hit the highest individual 20-20 score against Worcestershire and lost and he didn't win man of the match with 141 not out

Yes. It is a good oppurtunity for young players to prove themselves and make a name for themselves at their young age. There is a Stanford 2020 thread in the domestic part.

In Freddy Flintoffs autobiography he says his proudest moment was when he scored 234 in a 20:20 game and it finished up 319 for 0 with Freddy hitting 20 fours and 20 sixes.

I seriously doubt he did that in a proper county match. He probably did that in a club match or at school in the playground or something.

My brother was playing for Warwickshire Under 15s and they had Moeen Ali playing too, who went on to score 190 in a 20/20 game! I watched the innings and the bounderies were big, it was an amzaing knock and he is  player for the future, which is why counties are currently enticing him to sign for them!

Yes Moeen Ali is an incredible player. He also bowls some handy off break too.

It was just ion a school match, the Freddy Flintoff innings but still, its not too bad. Has anyone heard about Adam Hollioakes 15 ball 50? That could have been in a 20:20 game.

I knew of a chap who won the Gower award for the quickest century. He scored it in 33 balls!

I didn't hear about this 33 ball century, I always thought it was the 37 ball by Afridi, who did it?

you could try emailing Bill Frindal on the test match special (TMS) comitary team. he might give you an anser. you would then have to listen to the TMS coverage to get youre anser.
