uhh the 4 teams with the most points go through. if they are tied on points then the one with the better NRR goes through.

So if I compare SA and ENG. SA has better points but lower NRR...
WIN has a better PCF than ENG and SA ...???
What I want to know is.... which points??
Thank you for your answers :)

OK, here goes:
PCF = Points carried forward from the group stages - West Indies, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka had 2, so they started on 2 points in the Super 8s.
PTS = Points gained from wins in the Super 8s added to PCF.
NRR = Net Run Rate - division of runs scored/overs by runs conceded/overs - the determining factor if scores are level. Think of it like goal difference in football.
Top 4 points scorers go through to the semi-finals
If there is a tie on points, team with the better NRR goes through.
PCF will be irrelevant.

Yup, those teams that beat the other Super 8 qualifier in their group.

Another question:
If team no.1, plays team no.4, in the semi-finals, (where team no.1 has 10 points and team no.4 has 6 points for the super 8) and team no.4 beats team no.1 ...... who plays in the finals against the winner of team 2 and team 3 ???????
