Mine weighs 2.10. What about yours?

It does. I like playing with light bats, I find that I score quicker with light bats.

The First Century I ever saw was Heschelle Gibbs' 228 against Pakistan

I like heavy bats, I get lots of boundaries with them and my timing is so skillful with bats like that. I can't bat that well with light bats.

300 grams, not pounds. My bat is really uncommon, and rare. Its hard to find it in shops!

its very well saying that my bat is 2-8, but i want a slightly heavier one next time, but unless you get the same model bat you may at the moment have a 2-8 that picks up heavy, and then get a 2-9 that picks up light! or your 2-8 may pick up light, and the 2-9 heavy! and then it will feel alot more that an ounce!

2.6 out the shop but i have 2 grips, a toe guard etc so i guess it could be 2.7 in actaul fact.

used to play with a 3.2 bat but due to a injury im now using a light bat.

No doubt the balls goes faster and harder off the heavy bat but if you can learn to time the ball with a light bat then it shows a lot more skill.

most grips weigh about an ounce, so it will increase the dead weight of the bat, but probably wont make the pickup heavier!

yes grips may improve the pickup, but we were talking about the dead weight, and the weight of the grip wont make the bat heavier becuase it is so high on the bat, the reason y it probably improves pickup is becuase of the feel of the bat!
