Uthappa and Gambhir proved that they are capable of trusting. Good innings that they got there.
Ganguly bowled 6 overs with 4.3 economy rate. Thats some good stuff there, hope he can bat well too.

Thanks. Now I don't have to go to go to domestic cricket. Good score by India red. India green can only win if Ganguly and other play properly.

Tendulkar is the only one who seems to have been in excellent form. Dhoni's form is not suprsing as he is playing in the sub-continent.
Like I said before, Dhoni should play in sub-continent tournaments and Karthik on away tournaments.

Ghambhir seem in a good form he should actually be given another chance, and Ganguly didn't do so well which am sort of happy about. i didn't want him in the team anyway, and yes Karthik maybe coming soon... since dhoni is not really showing much in the ODI's played the last match quite well lets see what happens Blue v Red, i hope i see tendulkar score another biggy in the final i missed his knock in both the matches.

Ganguly and his fans must be so upset right now. Ganguly is getting close to retirement day by day. He might have lost hope too. 24 in the 1st and only 3 in the 2nd. Thats just his fate.

I am unfortunate not to be able to see the matches. I haven't checked anyway. I'll check tomorrow and see, but I'm sure to see something against my wish.

Bye Bye Ganguly and Badani. It was great knowing you guys.
My thoughts exactly but not exactly great knowing them and in reply to Dhoniisbest i seriously wonder how many indian are actually backing him excluding his home town, coz they will always support him.
all the people i know in maharashtra dont want him in the team.

Till now the challenger has shown some serious challengers for oppening spot both uthapa and Gambhir have done wonderfully, for middle order kartik has a case infront of raina and kaif, but I dont see indian selectors bold enough to pull out either of the three(sehwag, kaif and Raina) for anyone, so bassically a lost case!
Bowlers, i think Sreesanth has clearly shown his desire to be a part of odi squad, Zaheer overall better, so pathan and munaf patel definately under pressure but good for india. Balanji and Nehra should concentrate more atleast they were not immpressive in this one. VRV plus minus can be kept as a substitute!

Good win for Reds .They loked in total control and i wont be surprised if they beat the Blues today .I think Ganguly failed totally because of three thing :
- Pressure of maing a comeback when he was the cpatain a year back .
- Luck
- He looked desperate to get runs but he just wasnt looking the ganguly hewas a few months back .
VRV has bowled well >i think the Greens were an unbalanced team .Chawla is young and inexperienced .Nehra and Balaji were playing after 13 and 17 months each .The batting order had Ganguly ,Jaffer ,Kaif ,Raina and Badani so they should have delivered the goods .Ganguly was under immense immmense pressure .Raina's place will be under scrutiny .
Ganguly still has a chance with the Ranjis coming up and also THE Rest of India squad will be picked today tto play against the Ranji winners Uttar Pradesh .

Can some one tell me why all the good batsmen and bowlers are in one team and the rest is divided into two teams, wouldn't it be good if it was an equal oppurtunity division where the teams where ballanced with main team players contending each other, testing the bowlers like pathan, sreesanth munaf etc agains sachin and dravid.....
I believe both the innings played by ganguly were under tense conditions with his team chasing huge totals, and every one expecting a big score from him, i feel pitty for the guy, its a sad ending to one of the greatest Players of Indian Cricket.......!

i suppose the selectors feel the best way to judge how good second-string players will be at the top level is by playing them against a bona-fide top level ODI side, ie the India first XI. I can see the logic there, i think many ambitious players will see it as a great chance to prove themselves

The finals are gonig well. For all those Sehwag fans, he is doing really well holding the team at the moment with an 81*(76). Dravid supported him after a shaky start and he made 45 of 54 balls. They are at the moment 201/4 and Sehwag id batting with Dhoni.

I think these players should get a second chance for the Indian team;Murali Kartik,Robin Uthappa,Zaheer Khan,Dinesh Kartik,Gautam Gambhir & Venagupol Rao obviously they all will at some point these players have impressed in the series so far and to add to that list not including any players from India blue but from India green;Laxshmipathy Balaji,Piuysh Chawla,Ashish Nehra & Partiv Patel.
Laxshmipathy is a underrated ODI bowler he has proven he can take wickets against the best just ask the aussies when he took 4/48 against them in only one of his handful of ODIs over his career!

Partiv Patel looked nice from what i saw of him yesterday, some of his backshot shots were real class. isn't he the guy who kept wicket last time India were over in England, he was about 17 at the time? He needed a note from his mum to be allowed to stand up to the stumps!

Here's a interesting stat in 40 ODIs Hemang Badani played 10 of them 1/4 where against Australia in which he averaged 39 against them with a highest score of 100!So he can play against the best.

Anyway, Dinesh Karthik is the best keeper-batsman we have after Dhoni or is even better than Dhoni. So I suggest not to think about Parthiv Patel anymore.

I hate Sehwag for this very reason .He will continue to mkae poor scores and when he knows he would be getting an alarm or a warning he makes an 80+ score . .Rain played the spoilsport .It could have been a good match otherwise .Sreeanth and Zheer bowled too many wides .

Sehwag has done enough to deny any chance to uthapa and co, so he is well set, I believe a player with international experience doesnt need more than a innings to show that he is back!
Zaheer, sreesanth and karthick have proven their worth and can be knocking back for selection, Indians I believe have gained whatever they wanted from the series, some form for top batsmen, a good run for the bowlers and a few aspirants!

DF,Kartik is no where near Dhoni he can be as good but better I don't know. Mahendra Singh Dhoni just started his career over an year ago and you'd expect a debutant to make scores to make no more then 100 runs in their first 5 innings Dhoni in his first year hit 148 & 183* both at 3 I think. He is going through a form slump just like Sachin and what happened when Tendulkar returned?

Yes Gambhir, he was the best opener with Utappa. Chances increased for him. Few more bad innings, Sehwag will be replaced by either Utappa or Gambhir.
