I am a new member here from Malaysia.
 
Just wanted to extend our invitation to all cricket lovers to be part of our first international Sixes event.
 

 

 

INTERNATIONAL CRICKET SIXES 2008

 

AN EXCLUSIVE INVITATION TO ALL CRICKET TEAMS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “ONE OF ITS KIND” CRICKET SIXES!

 

MITRAZ, in association with KAJANG CRICKETERS CLUB is proud to present for the first time, INTERNATIONAL CRICKET SIXES 2008, sanctioned by MCA (Malaysian Cricket Association).  It’s the biggest ever six-a-side cricket carnival ever organised in Malaysia. With total cricket carnival atmosphere, plus more than RM30,000 (RM21,000 cash) worth of prizes for the teams to be won. By far this will be the biggest prize money pool ever offered for a six-a-side cricket tournament. And the best part of all, 12 out of 24 teams taking part will be winners!

 

MITRAZ also proudly announces that, for the first time in Malaysian Cricket history, the highlights of the tournament will be broadcasted on ASTRO SuperSport. It will be a dedicated production (special production team employed to conduct the coverage through out the tournament) of the event which will be telecasted at a later date. The broadcasting will cover: Highlights of the tournament, prize giving, interviews with players and other individuals, highlight on sponsors etc. On top of this, we are also trying to get the services of Live Internet commentary for the tournament.

PRIZE MONEY

Team awards:

Champions:                              RM8,000 cash + RM2,000 (cricket equipments)

Runners-up :                             RM4,000 cash + RM1,000 (cricket equipment)

Semi finalist:                              RM2,000 cash

Quarter finalist:             RM500 cricket equipment (if 24 teams)

Losers pool champion :             RM1,500 cash

Losers pool runners-up:            RM1,000 cash

Losers pool semi finalist:           RM500 (cricket equipment) (if 24 teams)

 

Performance awards (based on results from round 1 itself, unless stated otherwise):

Best Batsmen:                           RM500 cash

Best bowler:                             RM500 cash

Player of the tournament :          RM500 cash + RM500 (cricket equipment)

First to hit 6 six (legal delivery) in an over: One year ASTRO cricket subscription

First bowler to take a hatrick:                            One year ASTRO cricket subscription

Hit Sponsors logo (Six) placed at 2 spots:           pool of RM1,000 cash (only applicable at quarterfinal stage onwards – both winners and losers pool)

Hit six to (5 to 10 other boards placed around the ground:         Vouchers (RM50 - RM200) for each six hit. (only applicable at quarterfinal stage  onwards– both winners and losers pool)

Tournament details:

Date:   26th and 27th April                                Time:              9am to 10pm

Venue: Kinrara Oval (26th and 27th)                Teams:            maximum of  24 teams

            Another venue to be confirmed Entrance Fees: RM1,500.00

           

1.                  Tournament format:

i)                    Rules and regulations to be provided during managers meeting

ii)                   Teams will be divided into 8 groups of 3 teams.

iii)                 Group matches will be round-robin format

iv)                 All winners of the group to go through to winners pool quarterfinal stage

v)                  All runners-up at the group stage to go through to the losers pool quarterfinal stage ** which means all teams will play a minimum of 2 matches and all have chance to qualify to next round.

vi)                 Format of the points system and positioning of team in event of points tied, will be issued/briefed during managers meeting.

vii)               White ball will be used (provided by MITRAZ)

viii)              Coloured clothing only – Tops will be supplied by MITRAZ for all the teams. Only the tops supplied by MITRAZ allowed during play.

ix)                 Players registered by a team will not be allowed to play for any other team. But, changes to the team are allowed before the tournament starts (latest by 8.30am on 26th April).

x)                  No restrictions on who can play in the tournament.

 

2.                  Score updates / team standing: will be updated and displayed through out the tournament on a big screen placed at Kinrara Oval. Fully computerised!

3.                  Individual performance (for best batsmen, best bowler, player of tournament other award winners) will be updated and displayed through out the tournament on a big screen, placed at Kinrara Oval.

4.                  Team entry forms (attached) must reach MITRAZ (by email or fax) latest by 5th April 2008. Please be informed that the entry is strictly on a “first come first serve” basis. Therefore, the entry is automatically closes upon getting confirmation (entry fees and form) from the first 24 teams. Only teams who have paid the full entrance fees are considered confirm participants for the tournament.

5.                    Payments to be made by Cash or banked in to our account or by cheque made payable to MITRAZ Promotion (001733908-H). Account details will be provided upon request.
