You guys don't see the point. Its obvious that Sehwag is not in Inzamam's class. But you guys are rating Inzamam like he is god to Tendulkar.

No doubt Inzamam is a fine batsman but Lara, Sachin, Ponting, etc., are in a class of their own.

And some batsmen are better than him. eg. Sachin, Kallis, Lara, Ponting, Dravid.

Inzamam Vs Sehwag, lol, I cant just stop laughing on the idea of this comparison. Its just foolish to even think about it.

Guys Sehwag is head and shoulders below inzi: in terms of total runs, average, matches, years, centuries, class and so on - both in ODI's and Tests.

If you guys still insist, then lets start another similar one : Tendulkar Vs Salman Butt.

I suppose the only thing he has over Inzy is probably knowledge of the rules and their application.

Ha ha well said mate.I dont know whether Sehwag has more knowlege or not His knowlege still wants application.

I think Inzi is the best not only in one days but also in tests because he is the most relayable batsmen and the worlds one of the best player of modren cricket.Truly a match winner batsman. He scored 25 test hundreds and out of 25  hundreds 18 are match winnig or math saving innings. He is also best in the sense that he can perform better in pressure innings as like 2nd innings of the test match is always crusial and he scored 12 hundreds in 2nd innings of the match{i mean 2nd innings of his side no matter whether its 3rd of the match or fourt} .Sehwag sored 11 test hundres but i think he has only one hundred in his 2nd innings .

Sehwag has been really impressive recently, but technically speaking, he has to do a lot to improve his technique. He may become a failure at the tracks where bowlers can swing the ball. Look at his dismissals by Asif. An inswinging ball and he is in deep trouble with his footwork, the basic of cricket.

Inzamam's Odi status in the top 100 has dropped from 8-12 to 20 which is bad but sehwag is number 22 already but i think the experience Inzi has is more impressive so FOR NOW i would call Inzi better but over the years sehwag will be one of the top 5 best batsmen of the world.

i am not saying that it is a bad poll but i think that it is like comparing tendulkar or dravid to yuvraj. even though yuvraj is really cool dravid and tendulkar r better. it is very very very very very obvious that inzi is much better than sehwag.

Look at what Inzimam has accomplished, as a cricketer for himself and for his country, single handed architect of world cup win pakistan had, reponsible for 80% wins pakistan had in recent years, as a captain turned around pakistans fortunes, Mr sehwag has proven to be a good batsman with a very poor technique, but his contributions to india' win may be around 25-30%, (he batts poorly in second innings, has never carried his bat through an Innings), so has to go a long way, pls don't start comparisons so early

Whilst Inzamam's talent is unquestionable , your statement definitely is! Pakistan's win in the World Cup was due to two players - Javed Miandad and Imran Khan. Without those two England would have blown Pakistan away - just check the score card!

It's funny , why no mention of Inzy's performances in South Africa in 2003 (along with the rest of the Pakistani line-up) - the less said , the better !!

We were talking of accomplishments , You sicko, Yes Javed and Imran were pivitol in bringing pakistan to semis but the winning edge was provided by Inzi,I didnt want to go in details, the greatest moments in izi"s career were also his centuries againt ausies and bangladesh which resulrted in test match wins for pakistan.

I think Sehwag has a lot of potential, he is the most positive player around, gifted with emense hand eye coordination, but has to prove his real worth to india. Then only he should be brought into comparisons.

& sehwag definitely needs to prove himself by batting well in the 2nd innings in tests too.

Sehwag cant be even comparable with an average around 11 in 2nd innings to Inzamam, who has more than 15 centuries batting in the 2nd innings of a match, with 9 out of 10 times winning the match for his team and most of the times away from pakistan.

Cricket is not about making big scores at home but it is about batting and winning matches for your team, when it is required, either at home or away.

The most that i can say about Sehwag is that " He is a 1st day hero on good batting pitches at home or home like conditions (read batting pitches) "

I do agree with you but I like sehwag, I think with the departure of sachin in a few years he will take his position more seriously, actually he has to improve his technique , becos in second innings usualy a better defence is needeed which is not possible with tied down legs.

I think in test matches sehwag should bat lower down, probably face older ball specially  in second innings, may improve his average, its so pathetic for a player like him.

second innings average is less ,,,maybee he is not serious and the team takes a gamble with him to go hit out approach.

Dosent really matter ,,,shewag averages a overall healthy [54+] average much better than Inzy's [51+] ,,, which actually counts.

Morevoer ,, pakistan have been playing in Home too much and everyone knows what kind of dead pitches are there in pakistan,, esle inzy was howering around 48+ average.

But he is the best ever batsman ,,,pakistan has produced by far.

"I go by present and present says - Sachin IS the BEST , Shewag is going to be the next best and Dhoni's is gonna rock the world with his brutal assaults - GOD help the rest of the world"
