Done - Hoggard costs you £5.5m. One more team needed for the Premier League and then we can get started on the auction.

ok, my Icon player will be VVS Laxman.
My home team is Hyderabad, but my stadium is based out at mumbai (as i didn't wanted to take our home stadium since it is not that famous) so is it ok that my icon player is from HYD and not from Mumbai?

That's fine mate - VVS Laxman costs you £5.5 million.
You could take the Rajiv Gandhi stadium if you want as I'm going to limit attendances to 40,000 so that teams with huge grounds don't get an obscene advantage!
And it holds more than the Brabourne Stadium (20,000)

Done.
I'm awaiting icon players from:
Bladescape (Melbourne/Victoria) Robbie (Freuchie/Middleses/London) NZ Fast (Canterbury)
The rest of you can start thinking about which Australians, other than Mike Hussey and whichever one bladescape goes for to sign as they'll be the first picks in the auction.
The format will basically be you submit me a list of 10 players (max, as that's how many teams there'll be, hopefully) with a maximum price you're prepared to pay for that player.
For example
1. A Symonds - £7.5m 2. P Siddle - £4m 3. B Lee - £5m and so on and so forth.
When I have bids from all managers, I will then assign players with more than one bid to the highest bidder, and so on until everyone has a player. If you are the only person to bid, then you'll get them for the price you bid or their reserve price, as explained above, if the reserve price is lower than your bid.
So think carefully before bidding!!

Siddle has cost you £2.5m, blade.
I've received bids for Australians from slogger, NZ fast, dips and Tyke while mystery has made a bid of sorts!

dips - once you've picked a player from each nation, you can bid for whoever you like, so yes you'll be able to pick Bengal players.
OK, the first auction has been completed, and these are the players you have picked up:
Surrey Sloggers - Brad Haddin £5m (only team to bid) Canterbury Crushers - Ricky Ponting £9m (4 franchises bid) West Yorkshire Wildcats - James Hopes £3.5m (2 franchises bid) Kolkata Demolishers - David Hussey £3.5m (returns to Kolkata!) (2 franchises bid) Freuchie CCC - Simon Katich £6.5m (4 franchises bid) Melbourne Masters - Phil Hughes £4m (2 franchises bid) Perth Giants - Shane Watson £10.5m (3 franchises bid) Caribbean Crushers - Stuart Clark £4.3m (2 franchises bid) Hyderabad Victors - Shaun Tait £5.5m (3 franchises bid)
Some fine players, such as Symonds, Clarke, Lee and Jaques weren't picked up and will be available later on.
Money left and current squad:
Surrey: £89.2m (Butcher, Haddin) Freuchie: £89m (Shah, Katich) Caribbean: £89.6m (Chanderpaul, Clark) Melbourne £93.5m (Siddle, Hughes) Kolkata: £89.9 (Ganguly, D Hussey) Hyderabad: £89m (Laxman, Tait) Perth: £83.1m (M Hussey, Watson) Canterbury: £86.5m (Bond, Ponting) West Yorkshire £91m (Hoggard, Hopes)
Your minimum squad size is 15, remember, maximum is 20.
The next auction will be for English players, but you can send me bids for India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, and then Bangladesh/Zimbabwe + associates whenever you like.
I would suggest a new maximum of five players to bid for, it makes it easier and far more manageable, obviously putting your players in order of preference.
Just a quick note - you can't bid for Owais Shah, Mark Butcher, Matthew Hoggard, VVS Laxman, Saurav Ganguly, Shane Bond, or Shivnarine Chanderpaul as they've already been grabbed as icon players.

Quick question: Do we have to lump all associates bids together, or can we PM them separately?

I've not made that very clear, have I?
Basically you bid for all eight established Test-playing nations and then pick five (max) players in total from all the other countries (Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, etc.) So you could go for Ashraful, Taibu, Tikolo, ten Doeschate and Leverock, for example.

Yes, once we've gone through the other countries, it'll effectively be open season and you can bid for those you missed.

so JP we now pick 5 players from England or 5 players from every country.
as you said you can send me bids for other countrys so does that mean there will still be seperate auctions for them teams aswell as bidding for them now

Robbie, There will be bids for every country and each person will get one person from that country. You can send 10 bids the max for players from a country but in the end, you'll get one.

Ok. So when we're done with that phase, we're suppose to have 14 players, right. 8 test nations plus the 5 minnows plus the icon player. Then we're free the get the remaining 6 (max) from where ever we choose. Am I correct JP?
