I've run these next round of matches seeing as I'm snowed in and can't go home...

Australia prove to be too strong for the West Indies with Simon Katich and Ben Hilfenhaus on top form: Scorecard

England outclass Afghanistan at Old Trafford - honest!

Pakistan close 13 runs short of victory as their match against England A was drawn. They had taken a big first-innings lead but bad weather scuppered their chances of outright victory. Unfortunately I've lost the scorecard! Scorecard

India showed the strength to beat India A with Zaheer Khan and Irfan Pathan particularly impressive. Scorecard

Points: Australia 15, India 13, England 12, India A 8, West Indies 5, England A, Pakistan 4, Afghanistan 0

Meanwhile, in Division Two, New Zealand beat Kenya by 7 wickets, South Africa thump Bangladesh by 316 runs, Sri Lanka hammer Scotland by an innings and 223 runs before Ireland and Zimbabwe play out an evenly match draw.

Points: South Africa, Sri Lanka 15, Bangladesh, New Zealand 10, Zimbabwe 6, Kenya, Ireland 3, Scotland 0

Time for the Christmas break - the sim will return in the New Year!

JP, you didn't lose the Pakistan/England A scorecard, it's in the Afghan/England link.

Well, considering two matches ago Katich was nearing the chopping block, I think this is rather an impressive turnaround from him.

I am gutted with this weather.

For the next game Azhar replaced by Asad Shafiq.

Win the toss bat at National Stadium Karachi. Pitch green top, fast and bouncy.

Sorry about that - counting to two always a bit tricky. I'd hold off naming teams just yet as I'll bring injuries into play in the New Year.

I'm delighted with the performances of some of my young players... it was a big decision to leave out sachin and Dravid from the squad, but I look towards the future and I knew the future is bright... well done guys... terrific performance.

Old heroes still going strong in my team sam. The new ones haven't done that bad either. Murali Vijay though will be spending a nervous Christmas and New Year as his place is under the scanner.

Embarrassed

I'm afraid the way I'm running these, if I don't save the scorecard, I can't go back so sorry Sledge. I might see if I can change that after the New Year.

From memory, Pietersen and Trott hit centuries, the rest of the batting wasn't too flash.

Keedy finished with quite a few wickets as the bowlers impressed more than the batsman.

Hamid Hassan took a six-fer for Afghanistan.

Hmmmmmm ,  the well oiled machine that is the current England side utilises every tiny bit of information it can get JP - maybe I should get one of our (ten strong) IT buffs to give you a couple of lessons.

Told yer Keedy was a fantastic pick - Lancashire legend !!

Right let's get this going again following the Xmas break (not that I had one so there will be a break in a couple of weeks, weather permitting).

This week's round of matches is as follows:

West Indies v India A
Pakistan v India
Afghanistan v England A
Australia v England

Gary Keedy and Harbhajan Singh are injured and unable to play these matches.

A reminder of the tables as they stand:

D1: Australia 15, India 13, England 12, India A 8, West Indies 5, Pakistan, England A 4, Afghanistan 0

D2: Sri Lanka, South Africa 15, Bangladesh, New Zealand 10, Zimbabwe 6, Kenya, Ireland 3, Scotland 0

D3: Pakistan A, Sri Lanka A 5, South Africa A 3, New Zealand A 2, Australia A 1, Netherlands, Canada 0

D4: Namibia, Bangladesh A, Zimbabwe A 5, Uganda, UAE, Bermuda, West Indies A 0

Let's aim to get these games run on Wednesday evening.

OK - I've had to use previous line-ups for India A and India teams...

West Indies v India A - Excellent performances from Ravi Ashwin and Parthiv Patel enable India A to overpower West Indies and take a six-wicket win. Scorecard

Pakistan produce an impressive fightback, led by Yasir Hameed and Umar Akmal, to beat India by nine wickets. Scorecard

England A smash Afghanistan by an innings and 42 runs, with Steve Davies hitting a big century. Scorecard

Australia produce a fine performance to beat England by ten wickets - Phillip Hughes leading the way with the bat. Scorecard

POINTS: Australia 20, India, India A 13, England 12, England A, Pakistan 9, West Indies 5, Afghanistan 0

Next up:

England v West Indies
England A v Australia
India v Afghanistan
India A v Pakistan

Injuries: Luke Sutton (ENG) and Denesh Ramdin (WIN)

And Watson scores in the 50s yet again - really the format does not matter, he will always end up scoring in the 50s. The English were complacent, Andy Flower must be livid with this performance.
