Round OneWest Indies v Afghanistan: Chris Gayle becomes the season's first centurion as the West Indies make light work of Afghanistan to complete a ten-wicket win. ScorecardAustralia v Pakistan: Australia dominate at home, winning a match initially favouring the bowlers by seven wickets. ScorecardEngland v India A: One of the best games in the history of the game. Neither side could really get a grip of the contest, and the match closed as a draw with England four runs short of victory and one wicket remaining. ScorecardEngland A v India: A slightly less entertaining draw at Old Trafford, where India batted well into the fifth day in their second innings to guarantee an extra point. ScorecardPoints Table: Australia, West Indies 5 points, India, India A 3 points, England, England A 2 points, Afghanistan, Pakistan 0 points
Next up:West Indies v IndiaIndia A v England APakistan v EnglandAfghanistan v AustraliaDon't forget, you can tell me which bowlers you do/don't want to bowl and let me know what you want to do on winning the toss. Pitch conditions useful as well, of course. Edited by -JP- - 17 December 2010 at 8:41pm |

Wow what a thriller! Could have gone either way.
Ill have a turner for England A with low bounce and fast outfield. Team : Mukund Vijay Dravid Tendulkar Badrinath Raina Parthiv Ashwin Kartik Sharma Agarkar Unfortunate that Nehra misses out despite being the spearhead but I'm going on form! Bat first if I win the toss. Sharma and Agarkar opens. Followed by Ashwin, Kartik and Raina. List Tendulkar as the 6th option of possible! Edited by dips_december - 15 December 2010 at 2:22pm |

Aus XI:
1.Hughes 2.Watson(b) 3.Katich 4.Ponting(c) 5.M.Hussey 6.M.Clarke 7.Haddin(wk) 8.Johnson(2) 9.S.Clark(b) 10.Hilfenhaus(1) 11.Bollinger(b) Clarkey returns to displace the disappointing D.Hussey, Katich is also on a very thin cord, and if he disappoints again he will very likely join David in his fate..... |

Shame on boring India for being scared to make a game of it against us. Hopefully their A side will show a little more ambition.
Gale
Davies
Bopara
Taylor
McGrath
Hildreth
Rashid
Shahzad
Hoggard
Jones
Panesar
I will bat on winning the toss, and if possible set it so that McGrath is the 6th bowler since I see he bowled ahead of Rashid last time.
I have still to decide on a replacement for Tresco in the squad. Edited by Clobber - 15 December 2010 at 9:59am |

But Clobs when Zaheer Khan ends up playing 225 balls, there is something not right with the attack. Maybe another seamer in your side would do you good.

ah! no aggression levels this time, seriously I'd have called Zaheer back if he was batting so slowly. Disappointed that we couldn't win. Munsf wasn't up to the mark and I may have to re-consider my bowling lineup but I'll wait for spinny to give me pitch & conditions first.
very happy with Gauti and VVS ... well done boys |

I'll be running the next round of games tonight - hopefully have them up in around 12 hours. That will probably be the final round until around the New Year as I won't be taking the computer on which the sim is home with me.

Round 2:
More exciting games! West Indies v India: Gautam Gambhir's triple-century sets India up, but the West Indies get within a ball of saving the match in another tight finish. Scorecard India A v England A: India A wrap up a comprehensive win with Parthiv Patel impressing with the bat and an all-round performance from Ravi Ashwin catching the eye. Scorecard Pakistan v England: Brilliant Pietersen century turns the game on its head and guides England to a fine victory. Scorecard Afghanistan v Australia: Australia give brave Afghanistan a thrashing with Mitchell Johnson in all-round form. Scorecard Points: Australia 10, India, India A 8, England 7, West Indies 5, England A 2, Pakistan 1, Afghanistan 0 Next up: Australia v West Indies England v Afghanistan England A v Pakistan India v India A If I get teams in quickly enough, I can probably run these games on Sunday or Monday... Ah, so close yet so far. Same team again JP.
And Clobber, you should sack that bowling attack for making the tail make so much.

I'm going with the MCG this time.
Low spin, average pace and bounce. Same team, Katto saved himself with that hundred. |

Good win! Really happy with Ashwin and Parthiv's performance. It was nice to see Mukund getting amongst the runs too. Hope the Little Master and Murali Vijay fire against their own countrymen in the next game.

It works if you pick in form players and drop those who are not performing as their confidence levels will be low. You'd be better off dropping Azhar and picking another batsmen, just my advice though! |

I don't think they've taken too kindly for being 'relegated' having won the previous two seasons!
Division Three will get underway when Canada and West Indies A turn up, hopefully later today. |

A fivefer for Keedy in his 1st test and then he only gets to bowl 2 overs in the 2nd dig - what you playing at Straussy ? I'll have a think before picking a side for the next match (actually I don't know who we're playing and I'll have to go have a look - professional huh !)
