The Daily Mail says Pietersen wants to retire from one-dayers because he wants to spend more time with his family.

Family comes first , I think he has done the right decsion if he is missing his family that much. Anyway, KP will be missed in ODIs.

Thats right Kev, who the hell wants to play 50 overs for England when you can play IPL. Play more for Surry, don't make me laugh. Pieterson thinks he's above county cricket. Basically, Pieterson is a word removed!!

His decision has to be respected but as flipper points he could have given a miss to the 40 day IPL circus, certainly England don't play that many one day games a year.

First on seeing the headlines, I don't believe it.  I don't know but you folks but from what I have gathered from KP, he loves being out there playing ALL international games!

Thats what I thought.

This news comes after a recent home video was leaked during England's tour of Australia in which Pietersen is seen in a hotel room knighting himself with a cricket bat.Wink

England captain Andrew Strauss says he is reassured by Kevin Pietersen's denial that he plans to retire from one-day international cricket. Pietersn was moved to deny a newspaper report at the weekend which suggested he would stop playing the 50-over game in order to concentrate on both Test and Twenty20 cricket.
