Wehey! God my bat delivered yesterday... ooh it's nice! Got 9 grains on the face, strip of redwood on the right edge as you look at it, and a butterfly stain about 3 inches above the toe. And it feels goood with the oval handle. I'll get a few pics on here tomorrow if you like. |

I just got my bat in yesterday. It's abolutely badass, the pick up is really good and the bat looks quality. I haven't had a chance to see how it performs yet, but I will hopefully do that tomorrow in the nets and report back. Here are a couple of pics that James sent me of the bat, I will take some close ups in a couple of days. Just waiting for the anti scuff sheet to come in and then it's in full service from there on Edited by Hades |

I've been trying to get my pics on here and it won't work. I'll use photobucket and get them on here later on tonight, in about 4 or 5 hours. Nice looking bat there Hades, is that a normal Heritage or a carbo? |

What do you think of the carbo handle or haven't you used it yet? ANd do you reckon the shape is quite similar to that of the bradbury Sterling?

It does look like the Bradbury Sterling. But then again there is nothing wrong with that the Sterlings are heard are good bats as well. Never picked up a Sterling but this one has a real good pick up. The last few bats that I thought had real good pick up where BAS Vampires made by Mengha Ram himself, I bought it from the BAS factory in Jalandhar and had him pick the cleft etc... After 8 yrs of service (I still one of them perfectly fine, just the handle cracked which I might get it replaced soon) I wanted to try another custom hand made bat and chose Laver and Wood. Haven't used it yet, just got it yesterday. Will hopefully get to use it this weekend if weather permits that is. But doesn't look to bright out there Edited by Hades |

The willow is really awesome; pictures don't do it real justice. I had the knocking in service done (which included oiling) so the wood doesnt look as white.

The bat is quite white when compared to the other bats I have and I was a little suprised at that as well because I got the knockin and oiling service done as well and expected the bat to be of a bit darker shade. I actually smelled my bat from various different places to see if I can smell the oil..hahaha Anyway, I don't they will remain that white as I have noticed with my other bats once the bats get some use and are in the sun for little bit they start tanning a little. |
