there is lots od good makes out there, e.g fusion, lavaer & wood, bradbury, gm, kookaburra, hunts, woodworm, slazenger, ss, gray nicolls, puma, they all make good bats of u pay the right money but as for equipment such as gloves and pads etc, i think that gm and kookaburra edge it,(lol) but dont get me wrong bradury and all the other custom bat makers are incredibly good, it all depends on the user and wot they like at them end of the day and for me gm is the one

I've used a GN, a Hunts County (which was rubbish) and a couple of Slazengers. I like the pick up on the Slazengers I used so I bought one and I'm very happy with it.

i am considering to get a net bat to prolong the life of my other two bats, basically i would be using it in needless nets eg when not having to impress, and also in dodgy wet muddy conditions lol, i am most likely going to get a gm, probably the duellist as the high midlle suits me very well, as it is only going to be a net bat im considering the 808 as that comes with gm now and toetek, and i should be able this get this cheaper than what it costs from the shops, just wondering is the 808 a good buy in your views? and i like the maxi aswell as the duellist, which one tends to have the bigger profile in a weight of about 2lb 10? |

Yeah, but you want to use something that feels the same as when you're in the middle. If you practice with one bat and then play with another with a different weight, pick-up and middle, it can affect the way you time your shots.

yer i certainly want a fairly good english willow bat, but which is also durable, i think the 808's have a god balance between performance and durablity, and also are gm nowed and toeteked

i think a good idea would be to ask the people who are making your current laver and wood, ask them if they have any reject willow, or kashmir etc and then get them to make a cheaper bat with the same balance as the one your are gonna get soon!! |

yer not a bad idea atually, although they would not have any kashmir and i wouldnt want a kashmir bat lol my new one should be arriving friday hopefully, i like the duellist as it suits me well and quite similar to my private bin, although i am going up to trent bridge on friday for the weekend to train there and my coach is a gm rep and he is going to take me round the gma factory, so as he is a rep i am hoping i can get one cheaper! lol
