    Posted: 20 December 2006 at 8:37pm
Hello everyone and welcome to the first sim ever from minimurali - a revised edition of Warnester's extremely popular County Sim. It will operate in an identical basis to the old County Sim, but of course new transfers will be added to the squads if the managers wish to include them.

The fixtures will generated for the 2007 season for the County Championship, Pro 40 league, ECB cup and 20-twenty cup (although from here on this shall be known as the 25-twentyfive cup as the sim does not allow matches under 25 overs to be played). This is because there are only 10 teams competing and so I have had to condense all 10 teams competing into one league for the CC, and generate random fixtures (these will still be 2 ties played, once home and once away).

Games will be simmed whenever possible, possibly 3 or 4 times per week. Tables and point scoring as well as divisions are the same as 2007 and by the ECB rules and regulations.

For the season you may pick a side of 18 players, 11 to start every match. However, in the transfer windows you may purchase players from other teams, you have to buy them from one another with your starting budget of £10,000. All transfers must be verified with me before they will be classed as having gone through and the transaction has been made - to verify transfers please PM me. If you offer £4000 to a fellow manager and he accepts, you lose £4000 of your budget, and the other manager gains £4000. I will make decisions for all the teams who don’t have a manager assigned to them. You are allowed to offer another player to the opposite manager too, say if you wanted to sign someone worth £3000, you could offer one of your players in swap for their player. Obviously when you lose a player and your squad drops below the 18 man minimum, you must name a player to replace him who is already at your club unless you have traded a player with another team, in which then you would still have a full squad.

You may only have 2 overseas players at a time, of which you must state in your 18 squad line up with their foreign nationality in brackets. You CANNOT sign another overseas player from another team without selling one of your overseas players first to make room. Which brings me to the transfer market. You may put a maximum of 3 players up on the transfer market which shows that you want to sell this player to another club. You must PM me if you want to put someone on the transfer list which will be posted with all 18 teams of which underneath each team are the players up for sale, I will edit this list throughout the season as people PM me with their players they want to put on the list. If you are looking for an easy buy, you should keep referring to the Transfer list to see who is up on there and if there are any changes from last time you looked.

Here are the current teams and their respective managers:

Durham: ANIL KUMBLE

Glamorgan: w3lshrugby

Hampshire: 70_degree_spin

Kent: warnester

Middlesex: robbie

Nottinghamshire: Italian Cricket

Somerset: JP

Surrey: slogger72N/O

Sussex: Hawks Fan

Yorkshire: Freddie

The sim is under way!!

There may be a transfer window in the middle of the season - TBC.

OK no probs guys.

Are you sure you're OK with the taking charge thing between 24/12/06 and 1/1/07 JP? If you're too busy I'll find someone else to do it.

Just a reminde that it is the 2007 squads that will be used, so all the season's new transfers will be available for selection in your side.

Here is a list of all the players leaving their respective counties, you will not be able to pick any of these players.

Something is not good with Glamorgan. Am I allowed to have any overseas players, or do I have to follow what the real Glam. have done.

Everyone will have a set budget JP, so Glamorgan will have a chance!!

I think every team should be allowed 2 overseas players, but remember only players from the County Championship can be purchased. So unfortunately Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey won't be appearing in the same line-up as Simon Jones anytime soon.

The actual matches will start in January, yes, but if JP is prepared to monitor transfers the transfer window could be open from 28th December. I'll wait to see what he thinks though.

Go for it from 28th December. I shall name my squad, as well.

Batsmen (make these bowling rating = 99): Durston, Edwards, J Francis, Hildreth, Langer, Wood, Blackwell

Keepers: Trescothick, Gazzard

All-rounders: C White (overseas), Suppiah (no bowling in first class), Trego (likewise), Steffan Jones (likewise), Ben Phillips

Bowlers: G Andrew, caddi£k, Munday (FC only), Willoughby (overseas)

Players I've left out: Spurway, Timms, Lett, Turner, Cullen, Woodman

Transfer listed: G Andrew, Gazzard

Does this mean you want their bowling averages 99 for First Class games?

How much do you want to transfer list them for?

The transfer window is open from the 28th of December. However if you want you could organise a fee with the Hampshire manager (70_degree_spin) via PM and the transfer could go through on 28th December.

Yep you can trade as many players as you want - just make sure there are always 18 players in your squad at any time. e.g. If you sell a player you will have to name a replacement.
