How does one bowl off spin with a soaked ball and stiff, cold fingers? Today I was called up to bowl off spin and I couldn't land anything properly.

Rubbing your hands while your waiting for the ball to be passed back should help.
You know, I'm trying to decide whether to change my siggy or not...

Hmm, is wearing glves allowed whilst fielding?

Anyhow Im an off spin bowler, and on cold days real concentration is needed, but after a few overs youll get back to landing it properly.

No, you can't wear gloves on the field monty. I think that if you wear gloves and touch the ball with them, it's 5 penalty runs. I f you're fingers are cold though you could get some handwarmers and put them in your pockets, then put your hands in your pockets between balls and they will warm your hands up. As for the wet you need to carry a towel on the field with you and use it to dry the ball and your fingers.

There's some cream you can buy out the chemist that forms a hard skin on the fingers so it's easier to grip and you can spin it more, can't remember its name though, but handwarmers and a towel are just about all you can do. No handwarmers then just rub them or ask to go to fine leg and stick them in your pockets.

Your hands can't get properly cold, you're an Australian. Us Brits have to cope with bowling in the snow.

Nominate mid-off as your official ball dryer so you don't handle a wet ball. Handwarmers on the pocket aren't a bad idea but they don't last very long.
If all else fails, wait for the cricket season to start before bowling again

this is a good tip i always follow, just decrease the length between the first and second finger when you hold the ball like an orthadox grip and only use ur wrists to turn the ball

sorry its a bit confusing, hope it helps...
