Durham have signed this Veteran West Indian bowler for the next two years after he left Leicestershire. He has played for the national side and was the top taker at  Leicestershire for the last two seasons

His figures for last year were  quite impessive in the County Championship witha great 6-56 in one game and an average of 36.47 based on 480 overs including 83 maidens. In NCL he averaged 23.34 taking 23 wickets with a best of 4-37

His batting is as can be expected wht an average of 15 in NCL and 18 in CC, scoring 91 in one match

Is he a useful addition to our squad?

Ottis is still excellent. He originally only joined Leics as a coach and occasional fill in bowler then ended up carrying the attack for 2 years.

This is what the article says about him: "And Ottis, Evergreen, ebullient Ottis has just landed another county. Cue wild hoicks, big smiles and dastardly slower balls. Good on him..."

Ottis GIbson is a good all rounder, he bowls Medium Fast and bats in the middle order..he is a big hitter and has a good slower ball. But he is quite old now.

Great. I shall enjoy seeing him play for Durham. If we can get him and Harmison bowling a few matches together it might rpoove for some very interesting attack
