If people are interested please post if not moderators could you please close the topic......

well 4 games (including a friendly), and we have won 2, one winning draw and a defeat. personal performances.....bowled nicely in the warm up game, took a wicket with a nice pitched up swinging delivery which our magnificent wicket keeper snaffled. then first league game, bowled tightly, but with a groin strain so didn't put everything into it. next game, a local derby and best performance to date.....bowled 7 overs 4 maidens 1 for 10 and could have had 5 or 6 if edges had gone to hand.....bowled well again in next game, but through some strange umpiring, went wicketless and the umpiring became so questionable that our skipper had to have a word....then having denied me everything, i was given out to a bump ball during my first knock of the season, despite the fielder also saying it was a bump ball. it was a well played 8 tho, which included a lovely sweep off a quality offie. anyway, how r u getting on darlo_lad.

This year's been a mixed one, played first game for the firsts we won it quite easily. Didn't bat, but got a good stumping off one of our spin bowlers. Played two second team games after that, one against the best team in the league we lost by 5 wickets, but put in a good performance. I got 18 not out including a lovely lofted on drive for four . No dismissals behind the stumps. Played on Monday for the seconds, we won by 2 wickets. Got two stumpings and 3 then was given out LBW after hitting it, going down leg. There were five bad decisions, which could have cost us the game. Bad crack in the second best league in the area.

Still not a bad start though

Well played on Saturday - the rain spoilt the game.... Losing draw they batted first and we were doing OK until their big hitters game it and smashed it all over. Nothing at all for me, no cacthes, runs, stumpings. In fact I got fined "Thanks for coming."

My team lost today too in a decent enough match that we might have one but for a couple of dismissals during our innings at the wrong time.

Personally I bowled a lot better than my figures would suggest but had the keeper shell a sitter and stone cold lbw turned down as well, then was out looking for the slog when we needed 9 an over to win.

I know this isn't a club but I'm playing for my school team.

First practice today, had a go behind the wicket and glovework was OK but it was a bit hard considering there were two left handed gloves so I had to have a batsmens glove on my right hand and when the ball hit my right glove it absolutely KILLED!

Can't wait to have a bat and get a good knock, first match is next week sometime, I think Wednesday but still TBC.

Any of you play for school teams?
