i thought it was afridi and malik too.........i dont know y they sent afridi to bat on #6 or 7...it doesnt matter when u send him.....he is gonna smash the ball.,,so i think it would be better if u sent him to bat in the first 15 over because of the feild ristrictions and gives him a better chance of making more runs

Afridi is an undervalued bowler as well. I thin it's criminal to leave him out of the side. He has the be fitted in the side anywhere possible.

I would have Malik at 3 in ODI as he has done so well in that position, as for Younis....He is so good that he can bat 4,5,6,7 dpending n situation and he has done it time and time againg for pak!

Afridi not for sure. He's getting cleaned up by QUICK bowlers and with seamers with good line and length (Pollock, McGrath, Vaas - only these three though)too much. He is a fantastic player of spin, but his weakness against new ball makes him no better than Butt or Umar.
Malik also the same story. But he is much circumspect nad has a good technique. He is can get a run in the berth, but not Afridi |

I don't think pakistan has any decent players who can open. Salmon butt is probably one and hazeer will do nicely as well. But they are the weakest openers in all of the test playing countries, probably not bangladash... |

Afridi must play. If it means shoving him as an opener than so be it. I'm told that Malik is a specialist opener. So Malik and Afridi for me.

Malik is not a specialist opener, he is makeshift! I think Afridi must open wuth hafeez with malik at 3, pak will then have the big guns to come at crucial times in the game!

I seriously believe England should pick their best 11...in that case monty must get a hit, you wouldnt know how good he will in in the ODI games unless you try him!He couldn't do any worse than saj mahmood! Against genuinely quick and high class bowling colly also looks very average, his bowling rusty! He is a brilliant fielder, that is one the reasons his ahead of some of the other contenders. Mal loye/ maddy or ali brown should have been slected for this game ahead of Bell! |

Muhammad Hafeez & Salman Butt both seem to be the best available choice at this point in time. Hafeez seems to be in good form, although he's not much experienced.
