There are times when even two is plenty and this one will surely be the one. I am not overly excited about it though.

I'm wholeheartedly supporting Pakistan but still I'll say this, don't underestimate Bangladesh, they can be a tricky opposition at home, NZL saw that last year as they lost 4-0, ENG saw that in the WC as they lost a crucial game then, and recently WI saw that when they were bowed out for 61.

Pakistan to win but they should take every game very seriously.

That's true sam, Bangladesh are still more than capable of turning over a top side on their day but their inconsistency costs them. Pakistan have such belief atm that it is hard to envisage a scenario in which Bangladesh can even eek out one win. They will struggle against the pace attack of Pakistan and be bamboozled by the spin of Ajmal, Hafeez, Afridi etc.

BTW Sam, your location is India but you support Pakistan? I'm confused.

Pakistan brush aside BAN in the one off T20. They are high on confidence these Pakistani boys and that is really good to see, It will be difficult for BAN to stop them esp if Tamim continues to be un fit.

Pakistan restricted to a gettable total , but the Bangladeshi batsmen just couldn't knuckle down and were 5 down in next to no time.  This was a T20 where a steady 7 or 8 overs at around 4 per over from the openers could have set the match up before having a real go.  That they batted brainlessly highlights a lack of a game plan when chasing and also that they've forgotten how to win.

This Pakistan bowling attack is way too strong for the Bangla batsmen to deal with.  Thre is hardly any weak link in the bowling unit.

Bangladesh is the worse chasing team, they absolutely don't know how to do it.

Bangladesh are going to get whipped, they have relatively little ability, no mystery and very few batsmen willing to apply themselves. In every department, barring fielding, Bangladesh are hopelessly outmatched by Pakistan and they will be outclassed in all the upcoming matches. I am actually a bit scared because this could become embarrassing. No idea what the Bangladeshi curator was doing preparing this kind of track, did he really think Bangladeshi spinners were better and could extract more than Afridi/Ajmal/Hafeez/Malik? Just madness.

I think Bangladesh's best chance of winning games against Subcontinental teams will be on good batting wickets, this Mirpur wicket is quite strange, Bangladesh can't win a game here and the curator continues to prepare the same type of wicket every game. I won't mind it as long as they are losing against Pakistan though!

Poor Bangladesh.  Afridi continue's his fine form with the ball.

BAN avoided an embarrassing defeat by picking up 5 wickets, again a strange pitch at mirpur, nonetheless Pakistan played good cricket,  another occasion where Pakistani bowlers dominated the proceedings. 1-0 up, one more win and the series will be in the bag!

That was a terrible cricket wicket and the paying public have a right to feel robbed.  No idea of who the curator is , but to prepare a decent track there has to be some money and I've a feeling that he's being sold short in that department.

Pakistan win their 6th consecutive  bilateral series, they remain undefeated in 2011, the Green Machine is on a rampage...... ENGLAND..... YOU'RE NEXT!

Surprising the approach of Bangladesh, I think BP or Spinny have said this brfore, they play Test matches like T20's going after absolutely everything and they play ODI's like Test matches!!! Confused What is Stuart Law doing? There is something terribly wrong with the approach of this team.

No doubt the approach is backwards sam but it's more down to lack of application and lack of quality than anything else. At some point you have to acknowledge that some countries don't have the talented players that other countries (PAK, IND, SA, AUS, ENG) seem to be producing for fun. Barring Tamim, Shakib and Nasir (who is still inexperienced), they have a bunch of passengers who don't contribute in any great way. Even though ZIM only have one stand-out player in Taylor, they have a bunch of other players who know their role, contribute, compete and fight to see their side through. Bangladesh seem to be content to lose by large margins, some of their players seem disinterested in showing focus and determination to reap the rewards. A combination of this mindset and a lack of talent is responsible for the struggling Bangladeshi side we are witnessing.

I agree with you BP. I think its better to stop them from playing T20 and Odi and make them play only test cricket i really really think it will help BD and Zim alot but sadly that wont happen.

well I don't know what is really wrong with them guyz, because they dolook OK on paper but don't just perform.

Anyways, Pakistan win the last ODI as well, a bit of a scare by the Bangladeshi's this time but comfortable in the end for Pakistan. 3-0 sweep then, Pakistan march on and the results of the test matches won't be any different.

Sam, sorry to say it is your prejudice that they are good.Get the fact - they are not as good as other teams are. Once in a while they might upset and put up a good fight. That is the best they can do.

Mahmudullah,Mushifquir,Nafees,Tamim,Nassir Hossain,Sakib are good players, but they can't be world beater.Collectively put, this is not a team that can trouble opposition in different pitch conditions.

So Sam , next time look at the entire team as a whole , you will definitely know why they keep losing.

If BAN has to be a decent team they have to put lot lot lot of efforts in practice, the same set of players have to tighten their defense, improve their game, cut down foolish short and learn how to take the game till the end. They got whole lot of work to do.

If any team is going up in the right direction , then it is WI. Potentially it is the only team that can break into top four (I mean Test rankings). They got good solid young batsman who will improve with time, they have got some good bowlers for future. They just have to learn to play spin more efficiently. Ofcourse they got to catch properly too Wink.

My sentiments exactly Raj - only by knuckling down , accepting they're 2nd rate at the moment and reacting to that fact  will they start to turn their fortunes around.

Professional cricket is just a game - but it's a fiercely competitive game and there's no room for sentiment - if they continue to tread water and hope that results will come , then they're going to be disappointed.  I think they need a good kick up the backside !

I agree with you both Raj and Sledge, what I was trying to say was that on paper this team is better than Zimbabwe but if you look at the performances of both teams I can safely say that ZIM are going in the right direction at least and a few more years down the line they can be a much better team, unfortunately (and I've said this before too) I can't say the same for Bangladesh, despite having more talent. The application and professionalism just isn't there.

It's a bit unfair on teams like Ireland to see teams like Bangladesh who have hardly improved and don't seem keen on improving still with Test status while Ireland keeps getting better and they don't even get a look in. Would it be a stretch if I said Ireland potentially has a better Test side than Bangladesh? If they still had Morgan then no doubt about it in my book.
