Smile you are right V4P, I did predict PAk to win the series but honestly it was a fair call, they were the favorites.

Congratulations to Pak team for winning the last test match. Once again they have proved that how much unpredictable they are, there fielding was horrible in 1st match but it was 50 to 60% improved in 2nd test and same was the case with their batting line up.

Yes it was a fair call. Pakistan were favourites and were my pick too to win the series.  My question to you was how did you manage to win the ICC test predictor despite that prediction of your Confused .

well, every prediction carries some weightage, they have 3 predictions for every day of play + some 9 series predictions, so all in all there were 39 predictions to make V4P, this was just one of those 39, so you need not get everything right to win!

The other thing about that prediction was that most of the other participants predicted Pak to win as well so most people got it wrong hence it doesn't affect your chances as much.

1 all seems so underwhelming. WI really disappointed me in this series, I thought they could turn around and take out the series. The way they play spin is atrocious and so are their pitches. I'd like to see some fast wickets in WI for once...

Guess the same can be said of most teams except, maybe Australia in spin conditions.

I was just thinking about this and I'd not quite agree. My Analysis would be something like this:

Australia - will struggle in the subcontinent, no good spinners at all.

India - fairly good, can do well in the sub continent and also abroad although the strong batting contributes to the good performance of fast bowlers (barring Zaheer).

Sri Lanka - Serious doubts over their fast bowling resources, I think they will struggle esp now with no Malinga. Fernando is the only fast bowler I'd rate.

South Africa - With Imran Tahir in they have an excellent attack. can do well on all wickets.

England - Good pace attack but Spin is entirely dependent upon Swann, I can't see them win in the subcontinent.

Pakistan - Very good all round attack, can do well on all wickets more so if Danish is back in the frame. They lose mainly because of their highly inexperienced batting.

New Zealand - A fairly good pace attack and Spin attack but nothing exceptional. Can do well once they get more experience.

West Indies - Like NZL, fairly good pace attack and also a fairly good spin attack, their bowlers should do well in future.

Bangladesh - Very good spin attack but a nothing pace attack. Will struggle the mement they play outside the subcontinent

Zimbabwe - Again very good spin attack but a nothing pace attack.

Australia need to pick one spinner and stick to him, instead of chopping and changing. Someone like SMith will get picked apart my any quality batsmen. I'd like to see a finger spinner instead, probably an O'Keefe or Hauritz... who is Michael Beer?
