michael hussey a western austrlian ledgend (my home town)

his arriving on the scene has astonished many people and alot of close supporters of him, by this i mean the critics saying how his just as good as gilly at striking the ball and whatever else by no means hussey isnt a defensive batter but his more of a classy player by this i mean pushing the balll nice delicate cover drives and so on... but he also has now accomplished this knack for hoicking 6s in the dieing overs and smashing tons in the tests !!

what do yous think?

I was lucky enough to watch Hussey play a couple of times last season for my county Durham and he is immense

I don't think his success has astonished anyone who follows the county championship over here at all - most observers would be more astonished that it took so long for them to get him into the team.

He is an outstanding batsman.

He is amazing. He's ODI average is so high. I think he should bat a bit higher in the order. Its a waste keeping him a no 7. Sometimes Australia should rest Gilchrist by dropping him down the order and get Hussey to open.

No doubt Hussey is a fine batsman, but his averages are a bit biased because he has so many not outs.
