irfans pathan recent hat-trick against pakistan because he was the first ever bowler to take a hat-trick in the very first over and it was also against pakistan 0.4 bowls a huge inswinger to salmon butt who gets an edge and gets caught 0.5 traps younis khan lbw with another beauty 0.6 and then a ripping delivery to bowl mohammad yousuf who tries to block that was the best hat-trick in tests for me and in odis not sure maybe chaminda vaas |

I have taken only 2 hatricks till now, so I remember them very well its about 7-8 months back , it was an interstate club tournament, and we're defending our score of 192 I was given 36/38th over I bowled the first one , second one was caught at long-on and last one was bowled by me , but it proved to be no use as in the next over 13 or so runs were hit and we lost the game , but I still remember it as it was a good one , atleast for me |

wasim akram has 3 hatricks..sami has 1, saqlain has 1 but Aqib Javeds against India has to be the bes...LBW SHastri, Azharuddin and Tendulkar on a flat Sharjah wicket, it was awsome! ------------- |

For test hat-tricks... I think on a ratings analysis (the rated value of each batsman at the time) you would have to consider Glenn McGrath's hat-trick against the top order of WI (Campbell, Lara, Adams). Harbhajan Singh's hat-trick that earned him Ponting, Gilchrist and Warne has to be up there as well. |

i would say that the best hatrick would have to be Chaminda Vaas's one in the 2003 World Cup. the 1st three balls were a hatrick. i can't remember what happened in each delivery but i read that i the news.it was against Zimbabwe.
I would say the best hatrick according to me would actually be that one i took against my friends when i went for coaching. 0.1 the ball swings in and BULLZAI!!! 0.2 the ball keeps low and goes throw the batmans defence. 0.3 swings away from the batsmen who plays away from his body and he gets an outside edge and gets caught by the wicketkeeper. ------------- |

I know about a hatrick that was extremely DEVASTATING. During the South African tour to West Indies some time ago Charle Landelvt(not sure if that is the correct spelling) took a hatrick that wraped up the game for S.A and caused W.I to lose the match. Now that was very devastating. (For me anyway). S.A won that match. ------------- |

It's not 'debatable' if it 'clearly' hit his glove. I certainly didn't notice it hit his glove in real time, so we'll forgive the umpires that one. Besides, Warne should have caught him when he was on 15. ------------- |

Speaking of Warne he made a good hat-trick in the Boxing Day test and the MCG To get the 3rd wicket Boon at silly mid on (i think) took a great catch diving to his right ------------- Cricket watcher but tennis player :) |

| the best ever hat-trick was jimmy anderson in a 1 day-er, against pakistan at the oval, the bowled a ball at sami, he smack it but straight at markus trescothick, shoaib came in he pitch one just outside the offstump, it moved away a bit and found the edge, then kaneria came in and he bowled him a beatiful yourker to knock is middle pole out the ground. Beautiful. they were all out for 185 and jimmy had figs of 3-27 of 6.4 overs |

My favourite Hatrick was Wasim Akram's, against Sri Lanka in a test match. The delivery to Vaas was a beauty. Close second was Pathan's one in the first over. His deliveries (apart from Younis Khans) were unplayable. The one to Yousuf was one of the greatest deliveries I've seen. Lee has taken a hatrick in ODI's though. It was in the 2003 world cup against Kenya.I went to that match and it was absolutely devatating how Lee bowled, I think he even broke Kennedy Otieno's ribs or something

I thought that hatrick sucked, Bangladesh aren't really a great team anyway..  Sami and Wasim are the only to take hatricks in ODI and Tests. My favourite ODI hatrick would have to be Waqar's three clean bowled stake against NZ. |

Well, I can't say anything about the ones I haven't seen, so I'm going to say Chaminda Vaas' Hattrick during the 2003 World Cup against Bangladesh. It was brilliant to watch his bowling totally rock the Bangladesh batsman.

My favourites definitely Vaas's. I feel that its harsh though that Murali as a great bowler with 600+ test wickets though has never had a hattrick or a 10 for, I mean he should have 1 he even got denied the 10 for twice by England. ------------- |

Nuwan Zoysa took a hat-trick before that in his first over it's not Pathan to do it first up
1.1 Trevor Gripper - missed a strightening ball - lbw 1.2 Murray Goodwin - edged a staighter delivery to slip 1.3 Neil Jhonson - swung away and cutback after pitching. LBW When you see that these three batsmen are probably No 3, 4 for Zimbabwe best ever, I think it's no joke |

I know 4 in 5 balls has been done - I can think of Chris Old in the 70's. I almost had a hat trick of my own at the weekend - I took 2 in 2 balls, then (as is sadly often the case at moments like this) bowled a wide, before taking another wicket with the next ball. |

Well Bret Lee had in the World Cup against Kenya even though Kenya came amazingly well playing all 50 overs.
Vaas' was one of the best but once again against a bad team like Lee's. Pathan was my 2nd favorite because three really good players of the first three balls and it was an INDO-PAK match. And my favortie was once inmy coaching i got three of my first over against seniors. My first over but the matches 12th over. Another time i got 2in 2 against juniors, gave a wide then got the third. ------------- |

I liked Anderson's hat-trick.
He and Harmison took their hat-tricks in their 16 ODI game but Harmison should not have been given the hat-trick as the 2nd ball hit the batsman's armguard.

Bond took a hattrick today against Australia. I think it was good because Australia were cruising along looking to make over 300, then Bond took over and grabbed 3 quick wickets to leave us at 8/289 from the 50 overs.
