Not bad but since he got 8 balls he would need to have hit 48 to REALLY impress me.

It would be better if somebody would atleast heat 30 runs in over in ODI and Test matches. I would like to see that.

You are a good spelling checker. Where are you from razzaq_fan? Tell me who hit more than 30 runs off an over.

no one in odis

The First Century I ever saw was Heschelle Gibbs' 228 against Pakistan

It does not matter where I am from.

and there's the obvious gary sobers who hit 36 and then theres Jayasuriya who hit 30 runs off an over twice and afridi, tendulkar all have hit 28 so my point is that people have hit over 30 runs or 30 runs off an over.

Thats pretty impressive, but he didn't hit a six off every ball which detracts from it slightly, still a great achievment though.

It was not an ODI. It's a first class match. Bowler was Malcom Nash

Don't listen to LETHAL SAMI. He is totally wrong. The first two are both by Sanath Jayasuriya who made 30 on both occasions. They went like this. The first one was: nbefore 0 6 6 6 6 1 and the second one was: 6 6 6 6 4 2

Afridi did make 28 and 27. The 27 one was with Imran Nzair taking a single of the irst ball and then Afridi hitting 6 4 6 4 6

Nobosy has made 36 runs in an over in International cricket, let it be ODI or Test. Ravi Shastri and Garfield Sobers hit them in Domestic Cricket Matches.

36 off 6 balls is very difficult i think.very very difficult.against spinner its not that difficult.

36 is diffult for every batsmen and every single bowler on earth. It doesn't matter if hes faster bowler or spinner. Unless if that game involves match fixing.

I am asking about 6 deliveries faced by a batsman (may not be the same over) which yielded in most runs. It may be against Pakistan by Jayasuriya. We have to find out how much he score off the first ball of next over

DF.......That Jayasuria's 1st over doesn't even add up to 30, it only adds up to 25......can u count DF?

And When Afridi made that 27 he only took 5 balls NOT 6.

Don't be foolish. Jayasuriya made 29 in 5 balls against Aamir Sohail, and 30 in 6 balls against Chris Harris all by him self. And Jayasuriya made 33 in 6 consecutive balls against first five balls if Aamir Sohails over and then 3 off first ball he face from Saqlain Mushtaq.

Not really that unlucky, they were probably bowling bad deliveries.

That's why I put 6 4 6 4 6. I left the single of the first ball. CAN YOU COUNT.

No he didn't. The 5th ball was caught by a fielder , but he carried it over the rope.

The Best being Gibbs's coz he didn't even miscue one. That was like winning a WC lads, it was freakish.

I just watched some footage of Ponting hitting 30 off an over in a Twenty/20 match vs NZ and i am curious to know if anyone has hit more than this at international level in a Twenty/20.

I didn't watch Gibbs knock, but Afridi's demolishing of the Lankans was special coz

Over 30 runs in an over against a test playing side with one WC under their belt.

Not hit within powerplays.

All hit straight.

He came when the side was under pressure with the loss of quick wickets and required to score just around 6.0 an over.
