Does anyone know of any sites with good clear videos of techniques, particularly batting? I'm teaching the missus to play at the moment and I thought instructional videos of how to play the shots would be useful for her. Also, does anyone have useful advice on coaching someone from scratch? I've got some coaching experience and I think I'm quite a good one, but if anyone has hints that might help, especially if anyone's qualified, that could be a great help.

I find this is a very useful video for beginners:

minimurali, is that the video with the fantastically said phrase by Ricky Ponting.

"Dont say NO it sounds like GO!!"

If it is that certain video it's great and i would recommend it to anyone who wnats to learn how to bat or just needs to improve.

I've seen quite a few of those before. Some of them are really helpful, definitely worth a look you have the time.

the best segments were the ones where healy went around to all the players and asked them about how many bats they have and what theyre like

Yes your right. By the way, can people please give a rating out of 10 on how helpful they found the website I gave?

Except actual coaching is the way to do it. I've never been a fan of these internet videos, it all seems so easy watching, without actually doing.

Well yes but if you watch it and then go and do it you get something that I like to call "video flashbacks" were you remember most of it but yes actual, physical coaching works better but only if you coach is a pro Big%20smile
