All the world cup finals happened to be a one sided affair ie one side completely outplaying the other in every department of the game last world cup featuring india and australia was the classical example and most of the world cup finals have met the similar fate an exception in this case may be 1987 final featuring England and Australia which was probably had the most nail biting finish,England eventually lost thanks to the infamous reverse sweep i just want to know why this has been happening in cricket

it's very common for one team to peak during the tourney and for that form to take them through to the finals. unfortunately, the other team is invariably the one that's got to the finals through consistent performances by quality players.

Well I can't answer this question......It's just inexplainable. That's just how it is. I think that when there is a world cup final, both teams go into the match wanting to win and being determined. No team goes into the finals with a goal to lose. However, as you pointed out in the past in most cases one of the teams always end up totally outplaying the other team. The team that is toally outplayed just manage to get themselves in a sticky situation...I am sure they don't plan that.....it's not premeditated or anything so I really can't explain why it happens.
