I am a decent batsmen who comes in the middle order. But my weakness is my inability to play leg side shots. When the ball is pitched up and iz on middle n leg I just can't seem to connect becuase my pad gets in the way. Does anyone have any tips on how to adjust to allow myself more room?

Well, You obveously have a closed stands, basics, front elbow facing bowler, a V shaped grip, and not using your bottom hand at all, other than just for control. That could be good. Most time i see this, it will be because of very low back-lifts, try a high backlift which would assit in delicate shots like glads especially given the way i think you take your stands. You also probable cant pull, if you do not want to open your stands a little-bit, back-foot on middle stump and front foon on leg stump or two-leg that is, then opt for a higher backlift, I always think it helps although most people are discouraging it. Hope you fine this of assistance.

Try putting your front foot out to the leg side and drive as if you was playing on off drive.
