Who is most funny entertainer on the feild ?

In my view its Jonty Rhodes and Harbhajan Singh.

Jonty used to play lot of funny tricks while he was feilding.Similarly bhajji(harbhajan used to hav lots of fun when he gets a wicket).tell me any one who is more more funny on feild .not necessarily present cricketers.

This might be harsh, but Every time SHane Warne bowls, I laugh at his grunt.

Inzamam would be my man. His running is not only funny but also makes me angry.

When Pakistan won the first test of the recent England/Pakistan test series, Inzamam was running to Shoaib and they should have been celebrating the fact that INZAMAM WAS RUNNING, not that they had won.

Two guys from yesteryear were always causing havoc on the field , Derek Randall and Ray East. Randall just couldn't keep still when fielding or batting - he used to drive Dennis Lillee crazy!! Ray East played for Essex and was just the clown prince of the side , he often had his teammates in hysterics.

Modern day cricket is a tad more serious and all the poorer for it.

yeah swerveman...I guess...billy is quite funny!!!!!!! Was it true that he was voted the worst umpire?I have no idea I am just asking......I heard that from a friend

Daisy, I really don't know who came last in that competition; I only know the top three:

The Top three umpires in the poll were:

1. Simon Taufel (Australia) - 34 votes
2. Aleem Dar (Pakistan) - 18 votes
3. Rudi Koertzen (South Africa) - 15 votes

I think I'd agree with that, pretty well.

I would probably say the zim cricket youngsters{Masakadza,Taibu,Chokie,Hondo.,..}whenever they take a wicket no matter what the scoreboard reads wether its 550/2 or 12/2 they always celebrate by dancing uniformly like they rehears it but actually its just to entertain us the viewers

What Sledger said really - Ray East was the man. The stories about him are legendary. My own favourite about him is far too long to get into here, but a quicker one is the time he was fielding in the outfield and between overs was having to go from one end of the field to the other. After a while he got fed up of this - until he noticed one of the spectators had a bicycle. So if asked if he could borrow this and then spent the rest of the session cycling back and forth between his fielding positions.

Inzamam is a differant kind of fun entertainer for spectators.Bcoz of his huge.. size and poor running.. i heard spectators used to shout at him as "Aaloo" meaning 'potatoe' (while he was standing near ropes). It is said that once Inzy got very angry ... and he went with some bat to hit those spectators.

Incidently he didnt hit them so.

Even now on the feild when Inzy falls on the ground to stop a ball.. it will create lot fun there. But i guess pak feilders will feel very charged up at such moments..

I love watching Inzy's feilding and running between wickets.

Brett Lee is quite an entertainrer on the field. I remember in the Ashes a few times he made me laugh watching what he was getting up to. I once saw him doing some stretches and the entire stand behind him was copying. He then went on to do some flexibility stretches I'm pretty sure of it and the crowd attempted to follow suit.

Posted By: nottsjoe

I agree with Brett Lee the stretches he did in the ashes when the crowd joined i was hilarious. Also Billy Bowden is a legend not only entertaining but also a great umpire

as an umpire its got to billy

billy qoute " a life without sport is like a life without underpants"

from a player point of view I think Fredward every time he got gilchrist out he'd go absolutely physco and then acts like he's not bothered when he gets someone else out

Murili... The way he opens his eyes when he comes up to bowl, Or definaly Hoggy, The way he pokes his tounge out when he bowls. I wonder why it's the spinners that are always funny.Confused

Wait a minute... The funniest entertainer on the field would have to be umpire Billy Bowden, Everthing about him is funny!Tongue The way he signals the 4s, 6s and wickets and the way he turns his head after the LBW appeal. I bet he annoys the bowler the way he signals the 4s and 6's.

It was funny when Billy Bowden got hit with the cricket ball once.TongueTongue

Billy Bowden, his physiognomy and temperaments on the field resemble Rowan Atkinson aka Mr Bean.at one time a batsman hard hit zipped past his ears ,billy somhow escaped the blow ducking down in a frenzy ,the  peculiar facial expressions he wore following it are never to be forgotton. He would have lit up any hollywood directors eyes.Somtimes Billy reminds me of Bill murray with his cryptic smile.

Younis Khan's got a pretty good sense of humour. Anyone remember him raising his bat upon scoring his first runs in the Kitply Cup Final (following two ducks in preceding matches). And the more recent match against India in the Asia Cup when he did push ups after reaching his century.

I think it's funny when he does that and if you read Introduce Yourself thread I don't support any perticular team so I think that he definatly gives me the most laughs.
Though I did laugh when Younis Khan did those push ups.

The only time Bowden was realy funny and not irritating, Was when he got hit by the cricket ball,Clap because he was limping around, and wasn't very happy with the batsmen. %20%20%20

Even though he can get a little irritating at times, I still like him.Smile
