The 12-team tournament, aiming at reviving the waning corporate interest in the game, will be held in four venues across the country - Mohali, Vishakhapatnam, Dharamsala and Bangalore.

Most of the Indian cricketers, including captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will be seen in action during the one-day tournament to be held from September 1-8.

Former India captain Rahul Dravid, speaking on behalf of the cricketers, lauded the BCCI's initiative to conduct such a tournament and termed it a "great step in reinvigorating" corporate interest in the game of cricket.

The participating teams are Indian Revenue, ITC, Air India - Blue, BPCL, MRF, ONGC, AIPSSPB, Tata Sports Club, Indian Oil, Air India-Red, India Cements and BSNL.

Group A: Air India B v Indian Tob at Mohali
Sep 1 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT)
Group D: Air India R v Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited at Bangalore
Sep 1 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT)
Group C: AIPSSB v Tata Sports at Dharamsala
Sep 1 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT)
Group B: BPCL v MRF at Visakhapatnam
Sep 1 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT)
Group C: AIPSSB v Indian Oil Corporation at Dharamsala
Sep 2 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT)
Group D: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited v India Cements at Bangalore
Sep 2 (14:30 local, 09:00 GMT)
Group A: India Rev v Indian Tob at Mohali

Companies mate. It has been made to revive the corporate interest in the game. It is a replacement for the domestic 50 over competition i.e. the Duleep Trophy.

Well this is what happens when you make another domestic 2020 tournament which captures all the attention of the corporate folk. IPL isn't exactly doing great things for the quality and value of Indian cricket that's for sure.

You could say so milks. The Duleep Trophy has been one of the oldes domestic tournaments in Indian cricket and it was removed to make space for the IPL. Lets see how this Corporate Cup goes.
