Pakistan are back in action for a full series against Sri Lanka, for me Pakistan start as favorites in all the three formats of the game, perhaps the only question mark will be on the T20's as the Lankan players have got some good exposure in the IPL, however Pakistan have been a very good T20 unit and the inclusion of some of the T20 specialists should help.

ODI's and Tests Pakistan easily the favorites although SLN cannot be underestimated.

Veyr disappointing performance by pakistan first up, losing the 1st T20 easily, Shahzad showed why he should be a regular in the team while Tanvir bowled beautifully as did Ajmal, Pakistan however will have to pick themselves up quickly and selection of poor players like Khalid Latif, Shakeel Ansar and Sami won't help, Sami is not a T20 player at least.

Yasir Arafat should be playing ahead of Sami, I must say I missed Misbah in the middle order today but he has step down from T20's so pakistan will have to live with it, I'd much rather see T20 specialists like Imran Nazir and Kamran Akmal instead of Khalid and Ansar in the line up.

Yes right Sam with the quality that we have currently of keepers for T20 and Odi's Kamran is much better so i would like to see him back for T20 Cup and Nazir too and i really dont see even 1% improvement in Sami since last time hi played dont we have any better bowlers? i'm sure we have but why are they not getting picked?

absolutely mystery... while I don't really rate nazir, I think when it comes to T20 he is quite a devastating player, and Kamran's chances of dropping catches reduce significantly over a 20 over game period as compared to a 5 day game period.

also it's surprising too see no Hammad Azam in the side, in whatever limited chances he has got, hammad has done well only to be dropped from the eleven time and again.

That's more like it, good performance and good win to tie the series. May be the reason why pakistan want Sami in the mix is because he can bowl FAST, his pace did trouble the batsmen today and may be that is why they have him in the mix for the WT20.

Shahid bhai played a very very important innings today and he was brilliant with the ball too, if the conditions are similar in the WT20, he and Saeed Ajmal will be very very difficult to get away and they will be Pakistan's main players in the tournament. Good to see Malik scoring some runs.

Yes good comeback by Green Machine but i'm still not happy with the team there need to be so many change if they are to win the Fun cup/T20 cup - my team would be =

Imran Nazir
Afridi (yes i really want to see him opening atleast he can win 1 match out of 10 on his own                                                                  he is been wasted so down)
Kamran Akmal
Umer Akmal
Hafeez
Malik
Hammad
Razzaq
Tanvir/Arafat
Gul
Ajmal

No need of Sami to give away the game every time Ajmal - Hafeez or Afridi keeping it tight.

Good team that but I doubt the inclusion of Razzaq, yes he is a very good player but at the moment he may just miss out.

My T20 WC Squad would look something like this: (Can be a few changes eventually)

Nazir, Shehzad, Hafeez, Umer Akmal, Malik, Kamran, Afridi, Arafat, Tanvir, Gul, Ajmal... reserves: Sami (Purely based on Today's performance and display of Pace), Hammad, Raza Hasan, Nasir Jamshed.

Having seen Azhar Mahmood in the IPL, I'd love to have him in place of either Arafat or Hammad, but I doubt if he will be considered for Pakistan anymore.

Mahela and Sanga will milk Sami, come the test matches. He is fast, but THAT IS IT. No variation, no movement, no control.

Sami will definitely have to improve if he wants this come back to be a permanent one.

Pakistan go 1-0 up in the ODI series, I'm hoping for at least a 4-1 result in favor of Pakistan, so far they have looked good but I still have concerns over the depth in the batting line up, they need a better all rounder and a better Wicket Keeper batsmen in the side

what happened to Pakistan in the 2nd ODI is something that is likely to happen to them every time they chase a big score, the batting just isn't there. It's foolish to play 6 bowlers when you are already thin on the batting front, I cannot really see a place for anyone other than Kamran as a wicket keeper in the side, and an all rounder is a must, may be Hammad, Malik, Razzaq or Arafat.

The best thing that could have happened has happened to Pakistan, I was thinking all along that this win will again prompt them to live 3-4 series in the illusion that they have the right players.

Zuhair was right, they only thing Sami can do is bowl fast, that is it, there is nothing more to it, I cannot believe the selectors still don't give a chance to Mohammed Talha and Sadaf Hussain, the same old crap of Sami and similar players get selected again and again and again, even Wahab Riaz disappeared after just one bad performance in the Asia cup, that too in his come back game.

Farhat scoring runs was a huge set back for the future of Pakistan, Sarfaraz dropping catches was good as now Kamran's looks even more likely.

Whatmore has failed to do anything to inspire this team so far, the person who preferred the selection of Sami over Ajmal deserves a day at least in the mental hospital.

Nonetheless, Good that Pak lost, happy for SLN, after several series defeats over the last 12 months or so, they have finally managed to win one, good work indeed.

PAK should still be overwhelming favorites for the tests but going by this performance they'll struggle to do anything of significance in ODI's or T20's.

Mathews again shows his worth in the one day format - he didn't panic and sealed the series win for the Lankans - fine effort !

Mathews is a fine player - cool and calm. He has a bright future. The problem with Pakistan apart from the fielding bit is the team balance at the moment. With Sarfaraz in the side, Pakistan do not have the luxury to have a seaming all-rounder. This is where the captain was left with no choice but to bowl Sami out. Sarfaraz is a pretty ordinary player and is only in the team because of the Chief Selector's regional preference, just as in the case of Sami. Hafeez's time will be up pretty soon if he continues this way - I have never ever rated his as a batsman. He  just hit a purple patch las year but he has one flaw too many to be opening the batting. He cannot hold his place for long as a specialist batsman.

In a way, I am happy that Sami, Safaraz and Hafeez have put consistently poor performances and hope that they are shown the door. Pakistan should have Kamran Akmal opening the batting in ODIs, he provides the luxury of playing a Razzaq-like all-rounder and gives the right balance to the team.

Glad for Azhar Ali - the guy has a long bright future ahead. Reminds me of Saleem Malik a bit. Pakistan should do well in test macthes as the comination is pretty good there.

Very fine comments by Zuhair there, esp what he has said about Hafeez, never rated him either but the fact that the management is looking upon him as a future captain is a huge cause of concern. In fact at the moment there is no player we can look upon as a future captain to replace Misbah.

Azhar Ali has huge potential and this lad can be a Rahul Dravid Like player in the Pakistani line up, His coming of age also means Younus Khan can now be shown the door in ODI's and replaced by an immensely talented Ahmad Shahzad, A Virat Kohli like player, who I think is destined to play a lot of cricket for Pakistan.

Whatmore needs to have a bigger say in the selection of players, I'm sure he will able to stabilize this team and find the right balance if he is given freedom to work.

Yep, the thing with guys like Hafeez, is that they will hit good patches now and again, but definitely not long term solutions.  He's an attractive stroke player though.  Not sure why Sami is given so many chances though.

And lastly, you just gotta love Angelo Matthews.  Does he budge under pressure? Not at all.  It seems that being out of the game is his biggest motivation.  Its when you see the very best of him!!

Sammie boy - Ahme Shehzad and Virat Kohli? NO WAY. Think again mate. I hate to stay that but he is nowhere close to even the top 10 batsmen in the country - and that's not very good in a country which is not known for batting talent

You are right, Virat Kohli is one of the best Batsmen in the world right now. But if you look at the start of his carreer then wasnt that good. he has improved his game and he was helped by his captain. He bats at no. 3 where they have Top Batsmen arround him.
Now have a look at Pakistani management how they trated the talent of Umar Akmal. Misbah always plays his innings and never changes his game and demands from Umar Akmal always quick runs. For me Umar Akmal has all the shots which virat has but unfortunately not the right team.

Ahmed Shehzad is also talented player but never got that chance to prove it.

Kohli's determination is why he outshines the other young guns of today.  Umar Akmal may bat wrecklessly at times, Kohli is more careful in his approach, he will try to settle first before trying to belt it.

that is because he has the time to build his innings. Umar Akmal arrives at the crease mostly with 15 overs to spare and mostly with Misbah, Younus at the other end. He dont have the time to settle.
Even Inzmam used to send the young Batsmen at the wrong time to the middle.

I don't entirely agree Zuhair, I rate players who can play match winning knocks and I have seen Shehzad play those knocks, in the WI, in NZL and in the WC Warm up game, and lets not forget that he is still very very young, just 21, the selectors are wasting time on Younus, Farhat, Hafeez, etc... if they invest time on youngsters like Shehzad and Haris Sohail (although I haven't seen him play) it'll definitely pay off in the long run.

While spinny is right about Kohli being more determined and has a wonderful attitude towards the game, I do also agree with Kahmed, poor Umer Akmal is the only attacking proper batsben in the pakistani line up and this puts unnecessary pressure on him everytime he goes out to bat, this lad has tons of talent but once again poor pakistani management is not able to bring out the best in him.

This is where I am disappointed with Dav Whatmore, he is a high profile coach and needs to get the strategy and the combination right, investing time in old players and having just one attacking batsmen in the line up is NOT the way to go.

Sri Lanka won the toss and there was no surprise when they elected to bat first.  Solid start too , with Dilshan passing  50 at about a run a ball !   84-1 after just 21 overs - they take some beating in their own backyard .

They had some decisions going in their favor the sri lankans, however, I'm confident that pakistan will at least be able to draw the game, Misbah will be missed but I think the batting lineup is enough talented in this format of the game that they will come good.

Pakistan in extremely bad situation but then again the umpiring has been extremely poor, I'd much rather see quality umpires, be it neutral or non-neutral for test matches rather than see people like Ian Gould making such stupid decisions, don't understand why can't Aleem dar, Asad Rauf or even Dharmasena officiate in this series, this or there should be a DRS compulsory for test matches, you cannot have different rules for different series, absolutely pathetic.

Having said all that Pakistan should have done better, I have serious doubts on Hafeez being an opening batsmen, he has come along nicely with the ball, but his batting is really not international standards, I mean he'll fail more often than he'll score and you cannot have such an opener in the side.

Pakistan would hope for some good amount of Rain over the next three days to save this one and I can tell you that is very much possible given this is the rainy season in this part of the world.

Ian Gould is not a bad umpire mate, i'm not seeing the game, but maybe he's just having an off day.  They did an excellent job recently with Windies vs Australia.  I watched the first session last night, Ajmal was bowling beautifully.  Sangakkara got the job done.  Someone like Randiv will cause plenty problems on this pitch, he releases from very high and uses a lot of over spin - bounce with turn.

Umpiring in this game is extra ordinary really WHY we don't put this UDRS for every series - I really wish in coming matches of India umpire makes 10 out of 10 wrong decision against them so finally we can have it for every series. Umpire has cost Pakistan atleast 150 runs.

Steve Davies wasn't good either spinny, in fact more so Steve than Gould has made wrong decisions.

No Mystery, DRS won't be in place anytime soon, as much as the umpiring has cost Pakistan, their batting has been abysmal, once again hafeez doesn't come across as a test match opening batsmen, while Pakistani batting has enjoyed conditions in UAE had really have made UAE their home now, they have struggled under the srilankan conditions.

Pakistan will have to come back very strongly in the 2nd and 3rd test to keep their unbeaten record in test series since Aug 2010 in tact.

Misbah is a big loss in test cricket for Pakistan. That said, Pakistan have done considerably well in tests over a year and a half.  A blip here and there should not ring too many alarm bells. But a dozen horror umpiring errors in just three days is a cause of great concern. It leaves a sour taste and needs to be addressed. Making DRS mandatory will only help the beautiful game we all love.

Agreed , the umpiring has been dire , but Pakistan have shown little fight before the current stand.  All depends on Younus methinks , but unless weather intervenes it surely will be 1-0.
Rather unfortunate for Sangakkara - 199* and believing he'd got to his double ton before being told he was one short. Imagine his disappointment when the last man got out in the next over!

If Pakistan manages to even take the game into the fifth day, that will do  their confidence a lot of good. I expect Pakistan to come back strongly in the next two matches. Misbah's return will be crucial to Pakistan's chances - he is a key figure in the batting line and more importantly knows how to lead the squad - unlike Hafeez who apart from being an ordinary batsman has no leadership credentials.

Pradeep was out first ball SLedge but was not given, Sanga is lucky that he actually got to 199, he should have remained notout on 180 odd otherwise.

While Pakistan have played poorly, the umpiring was the main reason why they lost, if you have 12-14 decisions going against you in one game then you cannot win, no one is a superman here.

I just cannot wait to see Pakistan win the next two tests. Angry

It'll be interesting to see who stands in the next test and if they'll be any repercussions for the umpires of the 1st test.  The ICC's record in disciplining umpires is poor and I don't see that changing anytime soon.  Yes , Pakistan got the worst of the umpiring mistakes , but were clearly 2nd best throughout this contest - they'll have to lift their game considerably to win the final two matches.

I don't agree that Pakistan lost because of the umpiring. As Sledge pointed, PAk were clearly not the best team during the game. The top  order did not contribute and the bowling for most part look ordinary in unhelpful conditions. That said, Misbah's return will boost Pakistan. I am still hopeful - it is not all lost yet.

Pakistan looked bad because they were made to look bad, early on when they had got 2 wickets and should have had Sanga (or may it was mahela) it was not given, a wicket there could have changed the momentum completely, then Taufeeq was given out when he was not out, an opener is crucial to a teams chances, then when Younus and Ayub were going along nicely, Younus was given out when he wasn't, again it gave Sri lanka the momentum. earlier, Ajmal the nightwatch man was wrongly given out, it meant Asad Shafiq had to come out to bat and he was out first ball, had the nightwatchman been there, Asad would never have come out to bat that day and might have played well the next day as he showed in the 2nd innings.

I have just highlighted 4-5 of some 10+ errors made against Pakistan during the game, cricket is such a game that one wicket at the right time or one good partnership can change the course of the game, poor umpiring cost pakistan dearly in the game, even ENG or AUS would have struggled if so many bad decisions go against them.

Keep DRS mandatory and such cases simply won't arise, I don't even count this test match as a defeat for Pakistan, for me it is still 0-0.

I agree with Sam i would say winning was really hard but atleast a draw could have been possible if atleast umpiring was better and sorry Sam but DRS are dead case atleast for sometime now as the terrorist (BCCI) say no so how can it be possible that we have DRS without their permission.

Another display of flexing their financial muscle by the BCCI, However, mystery, I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by encouraging these wrong practices, because of the two month long IPL the quality of the Indian Players coming through has suffered immensely, which is evident in India's free fall from the No.1 position in tests to No.4 at present, also they don't have a single umpire in the elite panel, and now I think even the other cricketing boards will get fed up of this BCCI forcing things their way every time, and it's only a matter of time when all other cricketing boards, esp the financially strong boards like the ECB, CSA and CA take a strong stance against the BCCI.

second test starts tomorrow, obviously all the rains south India gets this time of the year are from the monsoon clouds that come from the Arabian sea and the Indian Ocean touching Sri Lanka, it has been raining almost every day here, I desperately hope it is stays dry in Colombo. Can't understand why on earth do the Lankans have their cricket season at this time of the year.

Superb day for Pakistan, they scored at a very rapid pace as well which is exactly what is needed on what is a very flat track. The likes of Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan, who I thought bowled magnificently in the 2nd innings of the 1st test, will have to bowl out of their skins to get 20 srilankan wickets.

Hafeez nearing on a double hundred which is good for him, he was out of a no-ball and has made the most of the chance he got. Good knocks too by Azhar and Taufeeq.

As I had expected, rains and more rains have ruined the test for Pakistan, although 19 wickets in 2 days are possible and have happened in the past, this is far too unlikely, plus the weather won't hold up for 2 full days, so leave it, Pakistan can at most draw at Pallekelle to maintain their unbeaten run, otherwise their almost 2 year unbeaten run can come to an end, quite surprisingly against a team which has not won any of it's last 8 test series.

Just my point sledge, at least in AUG and SEP the frequency of the rains will reduce but June and July is beyond me!

In whatever play we could get today Pakistan did found an opening, although it is highly unlikely that 15 Sri Lankan wickets will fall tomorrow, even if we full days play (which won't happen anyways). Pakistan will have to hope for a more helpful pitch and better weather conditions at Palekelle.

Once Cricket is around Guyana, Colombo and Old Trafford, doesn't matter which time of year it plays, still going to be rain threat.

Pakistan in all sorts of trouble and now they ahve their wicket keeper injured as well, a very lively pitch this but Pakistan should around 300 on board to put pressure on Sri Lanka, at 167/5 effectively 167/6, that looks unlikely. Luckily the rains have taken a break, the forecast for the next 3-4 days actually isn't that bad, we should have a result in this game.

only 226, they are about 75 runs short, need to get lanka for about 150 now and I trust Pakistani bowlers more than their batsmen... Go Pakistan Go!!!

Was it Junaid Khan bowling or was it Wasim Akram? absolutely sensational spell that was by this young lad, I am absolutely delighted because this lad has been consistently brilliant in this series, even on the unresponsive SSC he was making that ball talk.

SLN 44/3 at stumps on Day1 ... Game on!

Game on for sure. I hope the rain stays away. Junaid has already shown the world what he can do with the old ball, but yesterday when the conditions were helpful, he made the new ball talk too and it was some spell - reminded me of Amer at Lords.

I fail to understand why Steve Davies continues to officiate ttest matches - he is already having a horror game - and we only had a day's play.

How about this for an opening spell for whoever didn't watch it

Junaid Khan gets the new ball ahead of Sami. Bowled really well at SSC. Both Junaid and Cheema have proved to be excellent dead-wicket bowlers

1.1

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, starts on a length, just outside off, left alone

1.2

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, length ball outside off, left alone again

1.3

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, a peach. Short of a length, Para plays for the angle, but this one leaves him a little. Luck to not edge it

Three slips, a gully, short leg

1.4

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, 1 run, this one moves in towards the stumps, and he drops and runs, gets a single towards cover-point

1.5

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, no run, nearly edged. Length ball, on off, Chandimal pushes at it, and is beaten by the angle

1.6

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, 1 run, Chandimal off the mark. Length ball, on leg, angling towards off, pushed wide of cover

3.1

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, 1 run, length ball, on the pads, takes the easy single

3.2

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, huge shout for lbw, but I think he has got an inside edge. Short of a length, seaming in from outside off, goes past the inside edge, so no edge, but it has hit him on the thigh. Can't give them

3.3

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, left alone outside off, swings after passing the stumps, done well by the makeshift keeper Taufeeq Umar

3.4

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, another good take from Taufeeq. This one seams in, deflects off the pad, and takes a full-length dive from Taufeeq who appeals too. More in excitement, I think

3.5

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, short of a length, nipping in again, gets an inside edge onto the pad, but it dies down. Nearly a replay of his SSC dismissal

3.6

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, lovely bowling. He has peppered him with movement in all over long, and gets this one to go away. Everything right about this delivery except that it doesn't take the edge

5.1

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, no run, length ball, on off, defended square on the off side

5.2

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, 1 run, short of a length, nipping back in, he gets an inside edge onto the pad, but gets a single to get away from the strike

Goes round the stumps already. He does well from that angle

5.3

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, no run, already some shape away against the angle, nicely push-driven to cover - 142ks

5.4

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, no run, this one nips back in, beats the bat, but hits him on the thigh

5.5

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, no run, Wasim Akram, are you watching this?. Short of a length, on off, has to play at it, and then the ball seams away, and misses the edge. How do you play them? You have to be really good to edge them

5.6

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, no run, O boy. This is lovely bowling. Highly skilled. Pitches this up, drawing him forward, and then again it moves against the angle. Misses the edge. Top-class bowling

7.1

Junaid Khan to Paranavitana, 1 run, swinging in, takes the thick inside edge to long leg

7.2

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, no run, nearly. This angle is troubling Chandimal. Short of a length, outisde off, holding its line, Chandi follows it, and is beaten

7.3

Junaid Khan to Chandimal, OUT, he gets his man. Smart bowling. He shows he has not just the skill but the brain too. After getting balls to leave Chandimal from round the stumps, he gets one to go with the angle. Chandimal nowhere close it. Hit on the roll, on the crease, in front of middle and leg. Steve Davis takes his time before raising his finger. Clipping leg, I would say

LD Chandimal lbw b Junaid Khan 8 (33m 29b 1x4 0x6) SR: 27.58

So a tough innings for Chandi comes to an end. Not sure he has ever opened in serious cricket, and this was against a highly skilled bowler. Speaking of highly skilled, here is Kumar Sangakkara

7.4

Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, half shout first ball as this one seams in, but is sliding down leg

7.5

Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, huge huge shout, and my word, that is close. Close to off, seaming in, hits him on the roll in front of off. That's plumb for me. But I think Steve Davis went with not out, because of the two sounds that came form the ball hitting both the pads

7.6

Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, OUT, never mind the lbw, this one has damaged the wood work. Sanga registers his first duck against Pakistan. This is a superb spell from Junaid. Similar delivery, but this time Sanga is stretching away from the body, and the ball squeezes in through the gap after pitching on a length, just outside off

9.1

Junaid Khan to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, and nearly a wicket. Mahela follows this outside off, the ball holds its line, beats the bat

9.2

Junaid Khan to DPMD Jayawardene, 2 runs, Class is class. Junaid tries the one-two trick, seams this in, and coolly Mahela clips this wide of mid-on

9.3

Junaid Khan to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, short of a length, well wide of of, Mahela has no problem leaving it alone

9.4

Junaid Khan to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, wide again, left alone by Jaya again

9.5

Junaid Khan to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, top delivery. Short of a length, closer to off. Surely this one is angled too much to seam away? No sir, this holds its line too. Mahela's bat is straight. A lesser batsman would have got a leading edge

9.6

Junaid Khan to DPMD Jayawardene, 2 runs, wide length ball, driven through cover

ah! just when I thought the rains have taken a break, they return just at the wrong time for Pakistan, and this season they won't go away so easily now.

Yes Zuhair, Steve Davies has had another bad day, SLN should have been 44/4 because Parnavitana was a dead duck to Umer Gul but was given not out.

Desperately hoping for the rains to go away, Pakistan deserve to keep their unbeaten run going... Highly unlikely that the rains will go though, lets hope for the best.

all right... bring on the rains! Wink

on a serious note, somehow some way, if Pakistan manage 320-330, a traget of 200-210 on day 5 here won't be easy, esp with rain around, the time to get those runs will also be a factor.

SRL have the edge. Pakistan has managed to wipe out the lead for 2 wickets. But,a t best, they can manage a draw, if they survive the day's end today. SRL haev the edge to place run saving fields if they are not getting wickets. SRL will tke the series win, 1-0 or 2-0 doesn't matter. They have not tasted it for a while now.

A word on Junaid - the more he is playing - the better he is getting - I hope he is not ruined by people around

No Zuhair in my view it will be really difficult for SL against Ajmal and Junaid to get 200 if we get full day play i really expect Pakistan to win.

It should be a good contest now that the lead has closed in on 200, I wouldn't count Pakistan out by any means, but they will have to bowl well and this pair of Asad and Adnan will have to bat for 1 hour tomorrow, that'll really help their cause because this way they'll be eating into SLN's time as well, remember SLN haven't won a test series for a while and that could put added pressure on them.

All that said, the Rain should stay away!

Superb stuff from Asad and Adnan. 271 to get in 71 overs - the pitch has no demons, it has in fact eased out a lot from what it was on day 1. I expect SRL to chase this one down.

Good declaration by Misbah - a gettable total should see the Lankans having a go and that should give some chances to the Pakistanis.  27-0 at lunch , but still 65 overs to go in what could be a thrilling finish.

Lame draw in the end. Could not understand SRL's tactics in the chase. Maybe they were too desperate to win a series.

I congratulate the Sri Lankan team on their first series win since Murali's retirement, it also brings to an end Pakistan's unbeaten streak that started off in October 2010.

I'm not at all disappointed by this result because Pakistan have played very good cricket, there were a little unlucky in the first test when a lot of umpiring decisions went against them, they were the better side in the 2nd test but it was hampered by rain, and again, despite losing the toss they had every chance of winning this last test which was very evenly fought contest.

Also no hard feelings against the lankans this is one cricket board that has always been very supportive of Pakistan, it's good to see them win after a long time, even today Mahela said Pakistan deserve to be much higher in the ICC rankings, and I think that'll happen once the new rankings are out in a few days, Pakistan should definitely gain points while India, Australia should lose points.

Eagerly awaiting Pakistan's next series against Australia, 3 ODI's, 3 T20's, I just got my promotion today by the grace of God, So I guess I can relax a little now and watch some cricket!!!... bring it on!!! Smile

Yes , it was odd , there seemed to be early intent and then they stopped playing!  They'll take the series win though - pity there was a day washed out or there would've been a positive result.
