| i would say Pathan because Dhoni is not gud at playing under pressure.if india r in trouble then he fails. Pathan plays well in both positions. |

Some of these polls are overboard... dhoni and pathan are totally
different players, pathan being an allrounder, dhoni being a specialist batsmen. ------------- My two favourite Batsmen: Jacques Kallis is a very solid but destructive batsmen and not to mention he can bowl as well. I also like Michael Clarke for his amazing batting talent at such a young age |

Actually a keeper-batsman is also an all-rounder...and I'm not just making it up, I read it in a book...reading is awesome...that's how I learn about some of the cricket greats.
Really, its useless comparing the 2. Pathan is a bowler-batsman all-rounder, while Dhoni is a keeper-batsman all-rounder. ------------- Regulation without integration leads to suicide. |

It just depends wqho offers more to the team. Dhoni is a better batmen, while Dhoni doesnt bowl, Pathan does. Dhoni keeps wiket, Pathan doesn't. I would say equal, but remember when Rahul was keeping wicket, he offered more then Dhoni. Anyway...Dhoni could be up there one day with Adam Gilchrist and Andy Flower as teh finest Batsmen-Keepers in history. ------------- |

Ofcourse. Pathan is an all-rounder now and so is Dhoni. Dhoni and Pathan have both improved their battnig a lot and it makes India's batting attack look really dangerous. ------------- Regulation without integration leads to suicide. |

Both are great batsman, but I would say Dhoni is better that Pathan with the bat. With the gloves, it is obviously Dhoni, and with the ball, it is obviously Pathan. You can't really compare these two. ------------- |

dhoni has played some very good knocks while chasing. he has also performed under pressure. his innings against s.l. were very good.(183 and the one he played with raina). also all the chasing in the recent times were under pressure(run rate above 6) ------------- sorry guys i don't have pc in my hostel so i can't use the net very often. |
