name the 5 players to score their 1st 1000 test match runs at a strike rate of 70 per 100 balls or more?
i wonder who has been paying attention to TMS. |

From my 13 year old brain,I remember watching the cricket on tv when it came up with top 10 best strike rates in test cricket Sehwag,Afridi where both 80+ so I knew they would be in there KP was a guess cause hes been scoring quick centuries lately Gilchrist because hes strike rate is 70 odd and Murali cause hes strike rate is 69 something but he already passed 1000 runs so he must have scored 1000 runs at a strike rate of 70.

I've just finished a book on Bradman , his scoring rate was phenomenal!! They didn't keep records of over rates in those halycon days , but i'm sure NO-ONE in any era scored more quickly than the little genius!
To give you some idea , the 1948 Invincibles played against Essex and scored 721 runs in SIX hours!!!!!!( on day 1) That's still a record anywhere in the world today and Bradman scored 180-odd of those!! Not bad for a man almost 40 years old!! Edited by Sledger |

I reckon he would have the biggest strike rate in cricket history,because he hit a century off about 20 balls in a first class game.Phenominal really I reckon he's strike rate would have been about 95-105.

Now I have a quick question im not sure if im exactly correct,so heres my question Name the only 2 player to play over 800 first class matches? Who's played the most first class matches? Who has scored the most centuries in first class cricket? Name the only player to pass 50,000 runs and 2000 wickets in first class matches? How many relatives did William Gilbert Grace have that played cricket? Who was wisden cricketer of the year in 1896? Who was the first englishmen to score a century in test cricket? Name one player to take more then 200 five wicket hauls and 60 ten wicket hauls? |
