pretty much the same as rate the player relay but instead of players its equiptment.

so ill give a product, a decription, and a rating out of 10, then ill put the next piece of equiptment to be rated, and anybody that owns or has used that piece of equiptment can do the same.

right ill start

GN Gladius - A good light bat with a reasonalble middle, possibly a little too light but it depends on your personal preference. Lasts for ages is knocked in properly. A very bad toe and no toe-guard included

rating - 6 out of 10

next piece of equiptment - Masuri Titanium Grill Cricket Helmet

Masuri Titanium Grill Cricket Helmet - good kit, lighter than previous models and I believe the C&D versions.  Only problem is its lack of sweat absorptive padding.

Next piece of equipment - Screaming Cat bats (specifically Series 3)

Screaming Cat, Aus made but from a UK family of Bat Makers

Heard nothing but great things about all their bats, friend playing in Aus at present tells me they are causing a really stir in Aus for their quality.

Gray Nicholls Phoenix (pro performance)

Amazing wood quality but the face is too small and the handle is too long. This throws the balance off. Still times the ball pretty well but i feel this is just due to the wood quality.

7.5/10

Powebow 5*

Good bat, mine came with excellent wood quality for the price. Nice middle, perhaps a little low but will really suit drivers of the ball. Lasts for ages and comes with Toe Guard and Anti Scuff. Nice Thick edges and like the slogan says "more runs from miss-hits" is very fitting for this bat. It really does have some wood behind it.

8/10

Areo Batting Pads

Aero batting pads.  P2 model.  Protection for ball speeds up to 130 kmh.

Aesthetics - a bit weird - 5/10
Protection - unbelievable - hit on the full by a quick and didn't feel it - 10/10
Mobility - I can run normally without having to run around my knee roll - 10/10
Overall - once I got passed the sledging (go easy on this bloke, he's got two broken legs), I'm very happy I spent my money on these - 8/10

Next product - GN Fusion bat (any model)

Jbel, dont know why you copied my previous post re: Areo pads as i said not big over here at the moment ie AuSTRALIA. Not one person I have played against this season has them, in fact the only person in OZ who may have a pair could  be Shane Bond ( TRI Nations Series ).

Carbon fibre handles are simply not cricket!
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

Adidas 22 yards lite - 9.5/10
- Finally a big name who specialises in making trainers enters the world of cricket. These cricket trainers completely embarass the likes of kookaburra and gray nicholls with their rival products. The studs can be converted into half spikes, the toe is hard for good protection against yorkers and the cushioning inside the shoe makes it very comfortable.

Next product: any RNS bat or any Malik bat
