Hey Snell! congrats on the new bat. A top choice and only 100 pounds.

Should be a good bat to play with. As I have said previously; Kookaburra make good bats that last a long time and play very well.

Good Luck in your future batting experinces.

Scotty

I think it is an allround agreement that the kahuna is the best. I have one myself and they are brilliant.
My two favourite Batsmen:
Jacques Kallis is a very solid but destructive batsmen and not to mention he can bowl as well.
I also like Michael Clarke for his amazing batting talent at such a young age

I think Kookaburra (and all the other "big name" brands) are seriously over priced. Take the Diablo Fury - it has an RRP of £125.00 but is only Grade 2 willow. You can get the absolute best Grade 1 willow bat for that if you look at any of the Indian or Pakistan makes.

Does that store where you bought it from have an online ordering service...that's a good price for such a great bat.
Regulation without integration leads to suicide.

Slazenger used to be so popular. Now everyone just buys kookaburra - they seem to be a step ahead.

People only buy the brands they see players using on TV, which is ironic considering in a lot of cases the player will be using another make of bat entirely, but simply have his bat sponsor's stickers on it.

Nope i bought the kookaburra because it looked cool, feels good and has added reinforcment with the graphite , the only person i know who uses the Kahuna ios Ponting and i dont like him so your theory is wrong in my case.

And of course if you scan back in this thread you'll find those who suggest that Ponting's bat isn't a Kookaburra anyway ;)

About 2 seasons ago i purchased a MB Malik Supreme and once knocked in and oiled is probably one of the better bats in my club. The middle is really good, the edges are thick and it has a little bit of weight for those who like a bit of a swing. I would recommend MB Malik anytime. Afridi uses one or at least it might be one

Afridi uses the MB Malik Sher - I have 3 of them just now including one which is about 2'14 or so, and it just feels awesomely powerful

I've heard a lot about the MB Malik Sher. My brother's friend has one. He got his cousin to bring it from Pakistan.

I think MB Malik Sher is one of the best bats. Kookabura is the best.

yeh i don not think a lot of great bats will be available in Canada, a shop in Aust called the Greg Chappell Shop, it is brilliant, every bit of cricket equipment imagianble plus cricket clothuing and in every brand possible, teh shop only sells cricket. When i go there it is like paradise for me, .

See you later Gilly! Thanks for the memories!

Well, here in Canada, I don't even think they sell any bats except tape-ball bats.

I think that big brand bats are seriously overpriced. You can find small companies that will custom make it for you in better willow for alot cheaper

Yea, but if you buy an expensive bat from a good brand, then your bat is given more value then bats from unknown companies, even if those bats from unknown companies are better.

You guys are lucky. You can't get any bats here in Canada and I don't want to buy a bat here because I don't believe it is the real thing.

Maybe so Snell...that the problem with importing them here - the delivery costs a bit plus there is VAT and import duty to add in as well. Cheaper than a flight to Pakistan tho!
