It's obvious why he's not in the West Indies side given 18 innings since his last 50, but I've not idea why he's not playing regional cricket.

He isn't playing regional cricket because he is salt!!!!!!! Not only in international has he struggled to score, but back here as well. As I said in another thread, in the recent 20-20 in the caribbean he batted 3 times and didn't get to double figures at all!!

He came up with a bang, hugely talented, great fielder and very hard hitter, some how lost in the regional controversy, or politics of west indian cricket, I certaily believe. He was played in a few matches with no confidence of the captain, not sure of his role in the team and eventually wasted.
so far so good!

Yes we can all say that now easily, but a guy lightening quick in the field able to clear boundry every now and then, could have something in him , I believe west indies cricket could not get anything out of him. Its not always the most naturally gifted that make the 11 but a few nurtured into big players usually last longer, so some lack of grooming I guess!

Seen he is available to a english club team at £8000 for the year + flights, accomodation and car. Would be devastating.

People who just try to slog any and any ball won't succeed! It's as simple as that!

he's a hitter...and he's inconsistant.....(if I remember well)...it's been a while since I've seen him play. but I think the prolem is that he is too inconsistant.....and for once I agree with those windies selectors.

Look at Gayle...he's just a hitter...he's not a batsman...all he does is hit the ball and it goes because he is a strong player but he does not have any kind of foot movement if you know what I mean. Anyhow he still has success so I guess he's a good hitter.
