Congrats to Sachin on becoming the 1st player to cross the 15,000 run mark. 15,000! thats quite a few runs. Don't know how any batsman is ever going to break that record.

Yes, looking at what he is doing to the South African attack does seem like he has got a few years of cricket still left in him.

Before this South africa series I had known that he still have many more superb years to offer.

A few years of cricket, yes I agree. What an achievement. The fact that he has been able to play for 18 years and is still playing shows his remarkable strength. Alsoa record of 17 century stand withGanguly shows their strong understanding.

It's true that the clock is ticking down until his retirement but I think that he's still got a few years in him.

You haven't even seen Bradman much more for W.G and how do you know he doesn't compare to them?

I remember a cricketer that has a few years of cricket still left in him but the selectors caused him to retire.....Confused I don't think the Indian selectors are that stupid though to make such a great player retire when it's not his time. It's not easy to say good bye to players like Sachin. Cry

Thats a record that no one can break.
Records are there to be broken, and one day it will be.  I remember commentators saying no-one would ever get near Trueman's 307 test wickets, yet 20 have.  As fitness improves and careers get longer the cumulative run and wicket tallies will increase.  1,000 wickets is on the cards as is 20,000 career test runs.
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

15,000 - where did the extra 4078 runs come from?

Well done Sachin.

Only an Indian could get so many runs. They play so many games. But Sachin is a pure great. The modern version of Bradman [According to the man himself RIP]

See you later Gilly! Thanks for the memories!

What a little genius. Nobody will ever break that 15 000 ODI run record, never. I wonder how those idiots feel about him retiring now huh

I said Sachin should retired long time, thats because he was having bad time and had injury at that time.

By the way who would even hide for that little thing???
I left because I got addicted of something else

And I can't believe you got addicted to it more than Cricket! Wink Anyways, Sachin is playing cricket for 17 years. Hardly much modern player who has done that and still has about 3 years left in them. With the amount of games playing though, someone might get there but he has to be as special as the little master to do it! It will be a real hard task for someone to break that.

I belive Michael Clarke has the ability and time to go pass Sachin in both forms of the game!!

Dravid is still some more than 500 runs short of 10000 test runs
