I haven't heard Sachin say it. But the news channel people say that he want to win world cup with India. I am not saying that he should quit. It would be better if there is an experienced player. I live in US the only News Channel I get is Star News.

Tendulkar is just 33 !!!!! Get it into your head , he is NOT retiring after the world cup.

well i think sledger has got tired as he has said this statement 100's of time that 33 is not old in cricket.

i agree wid him completely.

i don't know but by playin for 17 yrs i think his body would have suffere a lot of wear and tear. so more injuries. otherwise the age factor is not a reason

sorry guys i don't have pc in my hostel so i can't use the net very often.

Are you dreaming sachin_fan? You think Sachin is going to play until WC 2001. Thats not gonna happen.

well if his body supports him than he can play till 2011 w.c. as he would be 38-39 yrs. he might reduce the no. of matches he plays in a year. he can retire from test early and play only selected odis. i bet he might do that from next 2 yr onwards

Retirement creeps up on players when the grind of constant travel and practise takes the shine off playing.

It's not necessarily an age thing . Bjorn Borg retired at 26 , completely fed up with the tour. Graham Gooch arguably played his best cricket around the age of 40 - it's a state of mind.

My take on Tendulkar (just from press cuttings) is that he's still very keen to play top class cricket - if the hunger is still there , then he won't be stopping anytime soon.

We will see if Sachin is back in form, when he play play in the tri-series. Sachin played pretty good in the charity match, it was good start after resting for 3 months.

Dhoni i have not gone crazy.he is 33.in 5 years he will be 38.there are so many players who play till 40.why not sachin.gavaskar played till 39.bradman till 42.stewart till 41.then why not sachin.he will play his last match on his home soil and what a grat chance he would have to play the wc on his home soil as his last match.

Just look think about his injuries, he's not the same Sachin as we had in the 1990s. He might be thinking about retiring after WC 2007. This is my opinion.
